Flow Hood thoughts

I was looking around at different flow hood ideas. Came across a Honeywell Desktop HEPA Air Purifier, 16200, and wondered if something as simple as this could be beneficial instead of building one.. Thoughts?

So when it come's down to it, one must be built more then likely? I had thoughts of Plastic wrapping a room. Having a small portable grow room within that room and on top of that, still using a glove box.. Not to mention all the lysol one could imagine or Citrace Hospital Germacide

Well holding off on the flow hood for now and going dexter! I just believe that it's easier to prevent a containment then it is to bounce back from one

You want to use various strategies, spores are everywhere. Set up conditiins that are not conducive to their growth, use barriers, use modular approaches, try to get away from rich, nin selective media, control airflow, eliminate sources of contamination, grow seasonaly, do regular wash downs, watch for spire carrying pests like mites and fungus gnats, dispose of contamination and potentialy contaminated material, plan fir and anticipate loss.

Learn to see spores.

Barries? Modular approaches? Non selective media? Can you break that down further into more laymen temranolgy

Non selective media is media that need not be sterile. Barriers such as tyvek or micropore filters, modularity means breaking your grow down to components so that a contaminated portion can be removed.

Ok. I have a fairly supreme way in order. Im following the monotub tek that choempi wrote about. Just curious on his prep of the wbs because he wasnt absolute in his talking of it an it seems to differ from general consensus

Ya that's exactly what I thought. I've had a few hundred hrs worth of research compiled. Just rinsed my wbs about 10 times till it was fairly clear water. Now I have it sitting in a 5 gallon bucket to soak for 12-16 hrs....

All of my posts are completely fictionally. They hold no ground. They are bust mist in the air, mere speculation .

I just checked my seed that had been sitting an saw a few pieces of mold forming....I have it boiling for 10 minutes before I can them to pc.... Is this going to be an issue? Or is this good that they came out now so they can be killed

24 hours is short for any mold i know to germinate and grow to a colony that is visible.

It is always a bad idea to use contaminated substrate. The contaminatiin can change ph, deposit exudates or possibly too many spores.
