flourish excel- "organic source of carbon"??

I've been keeping planted aquariums for 5 years and use a product called flourish excel. It is according to the label "an organic source of carbon". It does not list its actual ingredients. I went ahead last year and used it on one of my outdoor plants, and I can honestly say that plant was a foot taller and bushier than my others.I keep my outdoor plants small so I only got about a Q more off it. I tried a new method for curing and got spiderweb mold, so I didn't get to smoke any of that plant. I used about a teaspoon for one gallon of water(every watering), and used it for around a month and a half. Has anyone else tried this stuff? I did some searching and came up empty- for anyone using it for soil, or hydro. I also could not find a complete list of ingredients, so I'm not sure it's safe for the many styles of growing, or the many uses of ganja.
