Hello for my veg i want to have flourescent lights until the plants start to get their feedings then move them to CFL. my question is what type of Flourescent tubes should i get. there many different kinds but i was thinking maybe t5 or t12.. what do you think which type tube??

I think that you should consider T5's, you don't say the size of the footprint or the light size you intend to use. I use t5's and have t12 for general lighting. Keep the footprint close to the light size.

its just going to be used on maybe 4 very young plants from seed to about 2 weeks old. that light needed is probably 1sq foot thats it.

For that purpose any 4ft flouro that is 5000 or 6500 or one of each bulb will be fine..do sweat it to much. They dont like crazy amounts of light when they are little anyway. Check out my temporary setup I made for my NL if you want..it works fine even for my potential mother and clones. Its just a 4 ft flouro on a 2ftx4ft shelf.
