Flood Schedual???

Hello RIU!!! I have a generalized question that I know has a plethora of answers. It is my hope that some one can give a relatively simple answer.

Before anyone responds "read the posts" or "try searching" know that I did. To the point of exhaustion. Yes, I read journal after journal.

I am planning my first indoor grow and trying to get as much in place before starting. My question is regarding watering schedule. I have planned a 12 bucket flood and drain system with 55 gal. reservoir under 1000w MH/veg and 2000w HPS/flower. Rapid Rooter cubes in Hydroton

Is there a general rule for how often to flood and for how long? If not, does any one have experience in a similar set up?

I understand each room/strain/system is different. I would just like a general idea of how to set my timer so i don't stress my plants.

Thanks in advance!

easy answer:
6 times a day.
flood not quit to the top.
flood until it is full and then drain.

This is for "Hydroton" those clay pebbles hold very little water. I prefer coco coir or rockwool with 1 flood per day because if you loose power you do not need to stress about your roots drying out.

You should keep the rr cube from getting wet as that is your only possible source of rot, which would be why you would want to flood less often.

Simple enough. Thank you very much. after this grow I will take your advice into consideration but for now I already have the Hyroton.
