Flood n Drain vs. Top feed Drip systems!

So ive done top feed drip systems, but never the flood and drain. any differences? i figure the roots of the flood and drain are more likely to get have problems because of the large amounts of water surrounding the roots. well if anyone has an opinion id be glad to hear it. thanks!

you dont need to worry about drowning the roots but you do get salt buildup. bottomfeeding pushes nutrient up into your Rockwoll block and can cause nute lockout when it builds up. i use a ebb n flow in my flower room and it works good but i also top feed by hand several times a week to avoud salt buildup. i would stick with the drip system.
