Flip time?

some of the plants of been in veg for nine weeks some of them for seven. All have shown their sexual maturity at this point. They have been vegged under a 1000 Watt metal halide In a 5ft x 5ft tent. I would like to take down the tent. Well I mean scootit to the side for a veg area. My flower area would be 4.5 feet X. 10ft.... they are pretty much in the formation in the video I would be flowering them in. The plants and the 2 gallon containers to the left of the video will not be going into flower with the larger plants. I will be putting them in a separate veg area( they are purple diesel) i'm just wondering if you guys think all the larger plants have enough going on to put them in the flower or do I need to let them veg for a little bit longer to get the most off of 2000 W HPS and a 4.5 x 10 room?

At 8 weeks they should be about 2 feet tall plus the pot or bag.

Height is of no use other than making sure you have the headroom for it.
What is important is how full the canopy is. If it is full without gaps, you flip.

They stretch up, not sideways. I would have fitted at least 6 of those size plants to the light

Lmfao. Got that. But if I was to keep them on trainers while flowering wouldn't they be forced to continue growing out words.?

Or maybe drop a scrog net down on top of them

Drop a net and keep training them, for a week, Stop training when you flip, this only bruises flowers

I just feel the 10 weeks veg. shit is taking forever. I've been growing auto flowers for a while so I'm not used to the waiting game

OK perfect I'll get the net installed today and start training them out for the next week

You can flip those girls, they are not very big but may get you an ounce a plant if you are lucky

yea. im good on that... i normally get 2-3 oz per plant about 1.75lbs per light. i normally only flower with a 1000w hps. im using 2 this time because im not leaving with under 3 lbs this harvest. maybe the pictures are misleading the one has almost a 3ft canopy of its own and thats a full canopy on that one. the smallest canopy is like an inch or 2 under 2ft around. the rest are in between those

so should i just take some clones for veg and throw the perple diesel in with the flower to shorten times? i plan on keeping a 2000 watt flower with a 1000 watt veg. 12 plants in each chamber. i only had 8 going to flower this time as i needed to take clones

or should i not waste the electric just flower these under a 1000w. then do the 12 clones under the 2000 watt setup?

i have the clones going so they will get a 2 month veg. 9 are in solo cup others are still rooting

Yeah I thought they may be bigger than they look. Still, the best way of maximizing lights is not to be lighting any of the floor with it.
