Flat Jane Syndrome

Can anyone tell me truthfully if you've ever grew dence buds under anything less than a 400w HPS?

My genetics seems to be there but lots of nice flowers, bud sites etc. but buds do not fatten. I'm using double strength 10/30/20 to the point of visable burning and still no fat. I'm using florescents, and a 400w MH and no diff.

Is this true? Who got saleable buds from floro's or MH?

I use my T5's to veg but get awesome results with my 400HPS, thats all i use. MH are better for vegging with the blue spectrum.

Granny, a lot of it is strain dependent. If it sativa or sativa dominant you're never going to get dense nugs, no matter what you use. JC is spot on. I also use T5's and they are amazing but for flowering I'll be using a 1,000w HPS. Call it a postulate or a hypothesis but I think tending towards too much nutes is worse than them not having enough.

Flat girls need love too! No, but seriously HPS is kind of the de facto flowering standard...for good reason. Good luck.
