Is fish tank water good to water the babies with? If so how often?

yeah, as much as you have, some people grow vegetables only feeding it fish water.

it's called aquaponics or aquaculture.

Well that's kind of a extreme example of what could be done. Ive heard of people having fish in there reservoirs but i don't think that a road most people would travel especially if OP was a soil grower.
