I usually do a bit then switch to spinning depending on the situation and legalities. I’ve fished the Kuijak in Alaska a few times and a couple of rivers on the Kenia for chinook which was unbelievable as they run in at high tide and are fresh and quite spunky lol. I love to eat a couple of gummies and get creative, tie up what I call crushed clown patterns lol.
I love"spunky"......sounds like great experiences......the lake l live on is known for large/smallmouth bass and muskies.... (DEC tagged a 10 lb smallmouth recently).....bass are certainly spunky. Also native brown trout, brookies in the hills are fun.

I have fished all over North and South America but due to an unfortunate occurrence at the US border I’m unable to visit there anymore lol. Last really cool trip was Guatemala for sail fish. Their spunky too lol.

Ready to roll :-)
I didn't catch anything that night my buddy hooked a clonker and the knot at the dropper let go.... Beginner's error I didn't tease him about it...much :-)

Back out last night for another go...

It wasn't lack of trying with fish (sea trout) jumping here and there throughout the night it keeps you keen :-)

Red light isn't ideal for photos it's only for scale, it was returned to fight another day.
