First timer w/pic

this is my first time growing. i am growing two hydro and to soil but and using the ionic bloom, boost and grow with all of them. about in to week six. i was thinking about flowering next week, i use a 400w mh light. any thoughts? between 1' and 1'3" tall.

pics needed. 6 weeks in flower how tall are they, your plant will grow 3 times the size it is now in flower.
 
Your ladies are lookin nice and healthy. Great job so far! IMO if you have alternating nodes then go ahead and make the switch to 12/12. This way you know they are mature. But you don't have to wait, mind you. Six weeks is plenty to establish healthy root systems and foliage for a robust start for the flowering period. And yes, keep in mind that they can triple in size during bloom. If you're not training in any way this is a big factor when it comes to making the switch.
 
Will you be flowering with your MH as well? If you do you might find your buds to be airy and fluffy. Myself, I flowered my first grow with my 400 MH and that's exactly what I got. I've since then been flowering with my 400 W HPS Conversion lamp. MUCH tighter buds and much less stretch.

Just a thought.. :D
 
i was thinking of going to get a HPS bulb from what i have been reading it has the better light. and next time i do this i can have a veg room and a flower room. mybe even clone a bit. thanks for ya'll help.
 
looking really great for your first grow.

you should top off some of those taller branches and trim some of those lower branches. i think you'll really like the results.

mentioned above; training would be a good idea as well. it lookis like you have the space and it would help to sepparate and allow a lot of light to reach the etire plant
