I've been having some light burn issues really bright orange around the tips of edges of the very top leafs, Should I be having this problem with CFL's I have them 2.5- 3"'s away and they have only grew up into one before and it wasn't in it long and no burn was visible then.

Yea some nutrient burn, been flushing them, they've all been a bit overfertilized, one of them is about a foot tall now and it has the light burn on one leaf set toward the top. I have the lights rasied from all of them now and seeing some good signs of growth and I think that flushing the soil is helping. Will keep you guys posted I have some yellow lower leaves and crisps first leaves, Just see where they go from here.

Quick ? Do you guys do a cycle like water, water, water w/nutrients? or Do you fertilize everytime you water?

when theyre young i add diluted nutes every 3rd water.. as they get bigger i up the % of nutes..and then give it to em every 2nd water...
During the bloom phase on my LR2s i'm adding a small amount of bio bloom/and molasses to every watering, and a small amount of bio grow to them evry couple of waters...
I could prlly up the ratio of nutes, but i'm happy with their growth at the mo, maybe i'll try a diff % on the next ones, as theyve just poked their heads outa the compost..

Gonna conduct some experiments with my new seeds too... just ordered some Dr Chron's Biggie Smalls.

Awesome, I transplanted all of my plants into 5 gallon buckets yesterday as the root systems out grew the 3-gallon pots already, I couldn't beleive the roots hanging out of the bottom of the pots, I figured they would be in the 3 gallon pots for awhile. This time I used superthrive as the transplanting solution. How much water you guys water your plants in 5 gallon buckets? Would a gallon of water per plant be sufficient? I have just been using straight water on them for awhile. I was feeding them everytime I watered, no wonder I overfertilized, I can't wait for the next go around, When I can do everything right the first time. Thanks again for all your guy's help.

Well plants seem to be doing good now, growth is kind of slow but I have the temps lowered some. My clone is doing great growing another node (top) and smelling like the chronic, very green and has some good roots already. I've been misting if once or twice a day, everyday

It's been 6 days since the transplant and 5 days since I cut my clone. My plants have all showed signs of good growth today 3 of them have been growing since the first day after but now they are taking off again :)

My clone is 5 days old and has a lot of roots, It still looks as green and healthy as the day I cut it. So do you think it is ready to join the other in the grow room? I currently have it in a humidity dome.

All my time , money and work may be wasted. I used a dish soap water and vinegar as I read to on here in a thread for whiteflies.

Well my very perky pointed upward leaves all over of my plants all finally taking off again, are all crazy looking now like they're dieing. I sprayed this solution(soap, h2o, vinegar) and the next day hosed it off as I read to and now they look like this some leaves are hard and curling, everything pointed downward, some leaves are orangish/purplish (rainbow kina looking) looking.

I'm so pissed off I could have dealt with the whiteflies, my infestation wasn't to bad. I also was using 31 ml of H2O2 mixed with 1 gal. of water in the soil too.

I have no idea what to do, man I feel like I have ruined it all I was planning to start flowering soon.

Here's a few pics before my cam died.

Ive never heard of using vinegar before???
I have used a very mild dish soap and water solution though but you need to wipe all of the leaves of with a sponge every day and wait until its dried of and then spray the plant down with clean water.

As for vinegar and dish soap being sprayed onto the plants and then being put back under lights i can only assume that you have burnt all of your leaves and the acid in the vinegar has played its part to.
I may be wrong about the vinegar for all i know but i can tell you this i would never spray vinegar on my plants whoever told me to.
I use trays of molasses and water to catch flies.
They fly into it and obviously can never get out again eventually they will be eradicated.
They cannot resist dishes of sweet liquid, natures been catching flies in amber since prehistoric times works for me to.

All i can suggest is that you spray them with clean room temperature water and clean all the leaves with a damp cloth or sponge carefully and then flush them through until the water out the bottom of the pot runs clear and not yellow or brown then leave them in the dark for 24 hours but not cold and then clean them once more again.
Use a fan to dry the leaves of before you put them back under the lights again.

Also check that your tin foil is not reflecting heat back onto your plants.
Tin foil sux creates hot spots and if you hang the tin foil the wrong way around its even worse.
If you must use tin foil make sure that you hang it with the dullest side up and the shiniest side stuck to the wall.
Hope they pick up for you all this info is just what i would do if it was my plants.:blsmoke:

Yea I didn't use much vinegar, nor did I think the lights would do anything not being HID's but you live and learn we'll see what happens, hopefully I can salvage them enough to take some good cuttings atleast. Thanks very much guys

I found the dish soap, water vinegar solution idea on this forum using the search button for whiteflies. I'll never do that again.
