I'm not sure if I need to use any nutes in my happy frog soil I'm just using r/o water. Should I be using anything?

Little more information would be helpful. However, Happy Frog is a good quality soil and should need nothing more then water for at least the first 3-4 weeks of the plants life. With that being said, depending on how long you plan to veg, etc you may need to add nutrients at some point through out the growing process, but I wouldn't start feeding unless the plants start asking for it.

Just my opinion on the topic.

Forgot something! Not sure bout their soil specifically, as I use Roots Organic mixed with couple other ingredients, however I have found the the FF nutrient trio does lack in the CalMag department, and have heard others comment on this as a type issue with FF products. Again though, I can't vouch for the soils.

So I just have general hydro nutes. Should I get something else or will it be ok to use? The plants are in week 3 of veg. I also have calmeg

I can't personally vouch for the General Hydro, however I know many people that use it. To my knowledge it shouldn't be an issue. My biggest recommendation is let the plant tell you what it needs, as I have seen far to many new growers (myself included) over feed plants and cause worse issues then what would have occurred if we didn't add any.

Charts like this can help tell you what your plant needs or doesn't need. Pictures of plants are always helpful as well, but please shut off LED of HPS lights before taking photos!
