First time medical grower, need some help

I have and will have lots of questions so if you truly like to help people you might be helping me for a while. haha

I became a patient just recently and I will be growing in the near future. I am very excited to finally have to stop buying my medicine and have control over its quality. Anyways, I had some general questions and specific so hopefully knowledgeable and experienced growers can help help get me started.

First off, I will be growing 15 plants in an apartment. 7 or 8 perpetual 6 week harvest.

What is the best setup for that many in an apartment? As it will take up a decent amount of space at least 20 square feet. I figure the only option would be to build a grow box as I could not build ventilation into leased out property walls.

What type of grow should I go with to maximize my yield? I am doing organic so no hydro setups. Will be growing a higher yielding strain to begin with. The highest yielding clone I can get my hands on really. I will be selective with strains and normal seeds sometime down the line though.

Even though I am medical I still don't want smell leakage..for neighbors sake and my own.

What lighting should I get for 7/8 plants in separate veg room and which lighting for 7/8 in flower room? Maybe a 400 in each room and a cfl in the clone room?

What pot size should I use? Does a bigger pot increase veg speed and growth and potentially yield due to more room for the roots to grow?

What's the minimum yield per plant I should expect using a 400? Or is there a more optimal setup (obviously more wattage yeah?? but besides that)than that and what would the yield difference be using that setup?

Are sun circles better than fixed lights for yield? Any downside to them?

What should the dimensions of the room be like? 2x4 veg 2x4 flowering? Or is that too small? I don't want it to be this gigantic room that takes up a lot of space but I do want it to be able to have room for fans and intake/outake obviously.

100% organic. What type of soil should I use? What does the type of soil affect? Taste of the bud and anything else?

I was thinking about keeping a safe inside the grow room with an extra recommendation in it. Just in case. Good idea yeah?

Any medical patients from WA want to PM me so I can ask you a few questions? Thanks!

I'm sure I will come up with more questions with a little inspiration.bongsmilie

Anything else you guys want to add will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you! Looking forward to responses :peace:

I would veg, clone and keep mothers with cfl's......and get a 1000w to flower with. instead of using 2 400 watters. Cheap and works great.
Good luck!

Lots of information tells me that SCROG method yields the highest. Even if its a little bit more work, is it suitable for a 1st time grower?
no, I'm experienced and I don't like the looks of it. I like to be able to pick up my pots and take themto sink and flush them out every watering. With a scrog your plants are "welded" to the screen. SOG with clones is the way to go if you want a perpetual grow.
Oh , one question per customer no one is going to stop and answer 10 questions for you.

Well then I will never get sufficient help here. I would do the same for people and do with the information I do know. I will just have to read the entire OG.com FAQ and important books as I was planning on doing anyways.

I was thinking 4 feet deep, 2 rows, 1 walking row, each row 16" deep. That way I could walk down the middle of the scrog on both sides and have much easier access to the garden since yes they are attached and slide out.

You are right a perpetual isn't really doable with a SCROG but if it's a higher yield per plant per year I don't really care. He told me I'd be lucky to grow 2 oz's per plant using a 400 (and 7 plants) my first growing doing organic with SOG where light isn't spread evenly throughout the budding surface.

Why would I veg with a CFL when it that's not as effective? Sure it allows me to throw another hps into the flower room..

Why do you like to flush after every water? Seems like a lot of extra work to me. not saying it's not a good idea just wondering why you do it

because I can, LOL. Peat soil mixes (which I use) break down and can become overloaded from humic acid, a heavy watering flushes that out.
