first time - is this a good set up

This is my first time growing. The plant is 3 weeks old and i have it on a 24hr with 2 23w cfls.I just added 1 fluorescent light with 6 little lights at 40w each today.. when should i start the 18 on 6 off??

Anytime you want. 24 hours of light isn't necessary, but go for it if you're not concerned about electricity usage(not that it's a massive amount). I keep my plants on 18/6 throughout the entire veg phase. How big is your grow space?

from what people tell me that 18/6 helps the roots but the 24 on will make the plant get big fast

manage attachments the browes then look for pic that are on your computer then hit upload

i would move the plant within 2 in of the fluorescent light and i plant some more seedling cause if that is a male alot of work for no bud

What is that, like a foot and a half from the bottom to the light? You have more available space than that, right? How much?

thats the only1 i have left all the others died like 2 months ago and 3 seeds out of 8 worked
