first time indoor grow question

So this is my first attempt at growing indoors and i've gone all out. i made a little 2 x 4 room out of garbage bags, in my closet. i have a 400w MH/HPS light.

My question is, how many plants will I be able to grow under my single 400w light? i currently have two sprouts; however, i was wondering if i could have three plants. i know you need at least 2,000-3,000 lumens per square foot. so i should be set, as my grow room is only 40cubic ft (8sq ft).

i have 2 grows using my 400w. first one i had 3, second one i had 5. i think its better with 4. im gonna try 4 this time and see how it works.

yeah you could do 4 but i would do 3 you would get about the same amount of bud from 3 as you would the 4 because the extra light for the 3 thats just me tho you decide what you want to do

people say you do.. but i see people with 8-10 plants on a 600w...

it all depends how long you veg um for, the strain your growing
go for a short strain and you can pack um in, just grow the main cola,
just make sure you move the air around so you dont get mold
start with 4 and see how you get on, dont veg um for too long

i also think you should get a cooltube and if possible a 6 inch inline fan with a carbon filter. that will get rid of odor and keep your grow alot cooler unless you got it in a freezer its gonna get hot.

i knoww the light is hot as shit. i have a 4" duct fan (190cfm) on the ceiling, pushing air through a carbon filter from HTG, and a 10'' box fan as an intake fan on the floor

I hope that is a 4" ventilation pulling hot/old air out of the grow room through the filter ?

and yea 4 plants .. keep em small .. 3-4 weeks from seed then 12/12

yeah you need a cooltube from htg on ebay for 70 is where i got mine and the booster fans dont do shit.. you need a inline fan
