Well, this is my first time using a hydroton drip system. My previous grow, i used the DWC method and had good results. I just wasnt digging have to monitor the ppm in each jug and adding back properly and also draining each one every ten days.

Now, im running 18 five gallon buckets full of hydroton with 3 inch net pots and 1 inch rockwool.
Seeds sprouted and started under t5's after the first two weeks of seedling it is finally in its first week of vegetative.
I moved them into 1 gallon pots and put them under a 1000 watt mh.
Im running the 2 part gh series, and my questions are:

Do i even need to put them in one gallon pots for a week then into the five gallons?

im hand watering the one gallons and

Im running 2 1000 watt lights and when they get transferred into the five gallons and have a third 1000 just in case they get kind of big.

Im also running 1gph drippers to each individual 5 gallon bucket that are slightly tucked under the surface to avoid algae.
The temperature is kept between 70-84 degrees and the humidity is always between 40-60%

How often should i run the drippers?
Im having a tough time deciding and ive heard so many opinions.
24/7, 15 on 45 off, 2 minutes every hour.
Im running drip to waste and doing it this method i am also on the fence on how strong the nutes should be?

since its a constant drip should i am for 430ppm? or give it full strength?

any opinions, advice, criticisms would be greatly appreciated.
and i apologize cause i know there is a thread somewhere on this but for the life of me i couldnt find anything directly hitting my train of thought.
thanks again!

you dont need to put them in 1gallon, and handwatering will not be very effective. it would be best if you could install a flood and drain setup, but since you already set up, you can run drippers like 5 mins every hour or so, it's to you to determine this, but you will notice much more growth when you feed hourly and keep the nute solution fresh. and please run these nutes back to your res! it's a total waste to run them to waste. and nutes matter in concentration not in amount, you need full strength, no matter how often you feed
