first time growing help with equipment and nutes!!

i just germed these new seeds i got there greens or regs ok now these guys told me i needed light i went to rite aid got this 100watt cfl i kno i need more all i need help with is getting the seed to hatch which i did but i think i didnt do it right the little white root was bout the size of ur thumb nail so i planted that bitch in a pot i got this computer fan to put it there ready for when it starts peeks but what type of filter should i use or make i have fans pvc tubin but the filter is the part im stuck on and the nutrients i have a home depo that should have plant food and shit i kno i should have a intake and a outake im making the grow box tomoorw ok thats bout it yeh and um i live in queens nyc so the only thing i have for the nutes like i said is home depo thnx alot guys

Go to your local hydroponics shop, you live in a huge fucking city with everything you could possibly want there for you to purchase. You don't need filters or fans or pvc tubing yet, you got a good month at least before you need most of that. just need lights, get a few more of those CFL bulbs and put em close to the soil, water soil and keep it somewhat moist, never wet. Use plain old topsoil , no miracle grow shit, mix with 25-50% perlite. After a month you can start giving it 1/4 the recommended fertilizer every 3rd watering. With good lighting and plain topsoil/perlite you should be able to veg a 8"-1 foot tall plant in 1 month.

i went to home depot and got sum dirt for here im going to get sum more clf's and make a little box for it i wraped it in silver paper and um what about HEAT should i make another stop and use a mh light for it also ?im gonna get bout three of the cfl's making that four in getting cold here so im worried bout heat ?
