First time grower

the plant is 4 days old. Its just some random seed. Im hoping its a female if not should i just get rid of it? Im waiting on my NL seeds. Im using a 600w MH and will switch to a 600w hps when i start flowering. Im using miracle grow witch seems to be working fine. I have fox farm nutrients. Any tips thanks

add 30% perlite to your soil to increase drainage, it looks like you have NONE in that pot.

This might sound stupid but I added styrofoam to the dirt to help drain

don't take offense when i say this but it doesn't sound stupid, it sounds ignorant and ignorant is correctable, stupid you're just stuck with.

...keep doing what you're doing and try and understand that growing weed isn't FREE weed, the price you pay is the labor you put into your grow and, more importantly, the amount of time you spend studying and researching the topic, the more you know, the better you grow.

ps, keep in mind that while you are new at this, there are MANY here and on other forums who have been doing this for decades, myself i'm a relative noob having only grown now for about 6 years, which simply means that ANY issue you may be having has been had by MANY before you and if you go looking you will almost certainly find the answers quicker than if you just ask questions and then wait for someone to care enough to answer, THEN you have to take on faith that the answer they give is the RIGHT answer, lol. ...nah, believe me, you are far better off finding all the basic information on your own initiative.

How close are you running the 600? Careful with little ones it doesn't take much to roast them.

thanks and i keep my light about two and a half feet away. I can still feel some heat from the MH light at two feet away but just enough to feel.

Looks like it's off to a good start. With a 600w lighting setup it should grow like a .....well......a weed......
