First time grower!! tell me what u think

this is my first timegrowing and so far so good. Im posting to show my setup and to see what peps think. i got a 400w hps light. setup is in my closet, i have fresh air coming in on the right side and and vent with a good fan coming out the top of the light (for exhaust). i use fish fertilizer and plant food every 3rd watering. i have mylar around the sides. i just installed the vent and fan and it seems to be working very well. it sucks the heat out and circulates the air pretty good.i started all of them from seeds except the top middle one,which is a clone that my cuz gave me. there's gonna be a few males in there that i will eventually pull.

my cousin told me the two big ones are females. the two plants that are a foot or so are month and half old. the rest are 3 weeks. im letting the small ones get big enough and then when they are all roughly the same size im flowering.
 
no the big ones are big becuase i started those 3 weeks before the others. actually i can usually tell the sex before the flowering. usually males wont be cristaly and smell as good. i can tell females from males a month / month and half after veg. most of the time. u dont have to be in flowering stage to tell if ur plant is male or female

PLANTS ARE LOOKING REAL GOOD. KINDA "SASSY"!!! AND ITS TOO SOON FOR SEXING, BUT SOME CLOSE UP SHOTS OF THE NODES WILL ALWAYS HELP...!!! DB.~TLB! :)

AGREED... LOVE THE AV!!! but bigger ones ~ grow faster are usually males , HOPE THAT WAS THE PLANTS AND NOT THE AV' WE CANT SEE HER WAIST...SO PAN DOWN......!!!
 
youguys arent listening. i didnt start all the plants at the same time. the big ones are 3 weeks older than the small ones.

I'd start topping the tall ones other wise you'll have two plants that are tall as hell! Looking good, i'd be carefull with the nutes during veg. How high is your light above the plants?

i had them about a two foot. i got themnow about a foot and 3 quarters due to my good air flow. i lowered it alil bit after checking the temp. everytthings going good. im getting 3 more clones from my cuz and im gonna start putting this 400 watt hps light more to use. 400 watts is plenty for 12-16 plants.
 
yes the two big ones are already topped. imgonna wait till all the rest to get as big (or a lil bigger) then bud.
 
bighomey...you're garden looks really good, females or not...can you give me a couple of pointers and let me know at what temp. and humidity you keep your room?...greatly appreciated...

I know you can tell sex in veg from preflowers and shit. Most plant will show you sex after 40-60 days of veg. Sorry to burst your bubble. Now any other way to see sex i'd not know. Could you inlighten me?

I have one planat that smells a lot more like a pot plant than the other two. All mine will be girls so it doesn't matter! Optimistic is a great way to live!!!! :joint::o <cough cough>
