First time grower.. LED help?

I have a 4×4×6 tent. This is my first time grower, I'm planning on starting out with 4 to 5 auto plants. I need suggestions for a decent LED but not to pricey.. Around $200-$300. I've been looking at mars hydro 700 and the viparspectra 900w.. Any other suggestions for the size and how many plants. Thanks guys

I would look into a MH /HPs system some people post reviews on here about thosenlights and other say there descent but I would save up a couple more hundred bucks and get me a light from @CobKits

If youre serious about LED save up a little

a 4x4 requires about 500W and the drivers alone will be over $150, before you get into the actual LEDs

if your budget is that limited id buy an HID before the two lights you mentioned

you can prob find a 600W HPS on craiglist for $200 and throw a new $50 bulb in it

What would be the costs for a light build for a 3x3 tent with drivers ??? For flowering and veg an all in one ???

you'll get about 340W out of 4 cobs on that driver
add a 5th cob/heatsink/holder and you'll be ~400W and that would compare to a 600HPS

would be a lot of light for a 3x3
I run a 600 watt my /hps in there now so I wanna keep that but with cobs

I have a (48*24*60'') tent and i owned HLG 260w QB. Will that enough for my tent.Seems it's not enough for the flowering right (auto). THe light was very expensive as i am an asian they shipped it with dhl. I am going to try your site too. Any suggestions about my setup ?

@OP - Sorry for asking this inside your thread,Just felt to do as it's similar situation to yours :)

You're a first time grower..

Do not listen to the advice to buy up and spend more.. thats just long time growers telling you whats best for them, not whats best for you in this scenario.

Go buy 1-2 MarsHydro 600w lights ($100-120 each). You will have plenty of light (close to 600w true total watts with 2 of them), won't spend much, WONT HAVE TO BUILD IT, and can learn as you go.. rather than starting out at the tip top and spending a lot to boot.

After all, your plan is to grow 4 auto flowers.. you wont even need that much space. Let alone that much light.

MarsHydro or another blurple LED that is on the cheaper side will work, and will be effective, especially this being your first grow I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to go with an expensive option such as COBs. But, if after a few grows you decide you want to keep going and want better results, and can't afford the heat that HID's create, then it is time to maybe consider investing in higher quality lighting. If you're going to grow long term, COBs will pay for themselves in heat/electricity, as led's such as Marshydro CAN last for years, but will likely not. There is always a trade-off for cheaper lights...there's no such thing as the same quality and reliability of lights that are a quarter or half the price...there is a reason they are so much cheaper. The best cheap led's I've found is the Roleadro 400w COBs on Amazon (not true cobs, simply uses an old cree chip so they can list the word COB on ads), MarsHydro obviously, and Viparspectra...again though, being cheaper will present a trade-off.

2 mars hydro gonna have close To 600w true power???? :-?bongsmilie

I read some réal bullshit everyday here lol with 2 you Will be more around 280w true power... I have mars panel and using one for veg and auto in veg (i add 2 cxb 3590 for flowering) and it Will do thé job but yields won't be as with cob ,simple you have 300$ budget its enough for a 3x3 like cobkit suggest and mars Will do thé job but bot even close To cob and for 100$+ I would go directly for it Instead of thé cheap mars unit

You work for mars hydro... i dont understand why you still try To make him buy mars panel when we already show him he would have better harvest with cob or qb... how much do you make each time??

While im not going to say they can't grow, they are not the best quality led. If youre going to buy cheap led, hps is a better option imo.
That à saleman from mars hydro bro just get you some qb for thé same price or for 100$+ cob ( luminux, cree or vero) dont fall for thé trap

This Guy never showed any grow, dont know shit about led and try To make money on you simple
