First time grow

Ok so this is my first grow I always wanted to grow my own and now that I had the cash for start up cost and a grow area I decided to give it a shot Im growing buddah seeds magnum and UFO seeds afghan kush Ryder both are auto flowers have a 600w dimmable ipower mh and hps light two 3 gal smart pots with cocoa and perlite 80/20 mix I'm using ionic hydroponic nutes and b52 supplement for root development. The only problem I ran into was a heat issue that is now taken care of so today is day two after germinating and planting the seeds and the magnum which I planted about qutar inch deep is allready broken thru the soil I'm going to continue watering 1L every day for now and more once they get thirsty. Oh and I'm running a 24/7 light because the autoflower goes into flowering regardless so I'm going to post a pic tomo on my comp just looking for some feedback and ideas about my little grow op
 
Looks good from here. I do coco DTW in 3 gallon smart pots pretty much exclusively now and doubt i'm going back. It's super easy and my plants have never looked better. I didn't see a mention of any other kinda lights so be mindful of your seedlings under a HID light source. Real easy to cook them with that kinda intensity.

i use canna range for coco and also add cal/mag i love how healthy my plants look in coco/perlite they almost glow:mrgreen:
 
Ok I got a question so I have a dimmable ballast and was wondering if I have it on 50% is that equivalent to a 300w light now opposed to 100% being 600w just wondering still really new
 
I read that u shouldn't start off using cal mag but only if there's a deficiency in the medium is this true because I didn't buy any and am wondering if it's something I am going to need
 
So I looked at my magnum today day 7 and it looks pretty small and looks like it's leaning to one side. Anything to worry about or am I paranoid image.jpg
 
Oops sorry my iphone is being crazy but it's the only way I can post a pic n also if I keep asking a lot of really obvious questions well that's cuz it's my first time growing any kind of plant lol
 
Looks like your leaves are tacoing a bit. Might see a bit of light bleaching too on the tops fan leaves. Makes me think maybe your lights too close or temp is high.

Looks good though man, keep it up.
 
Yea there is a lil yellow spot on the other one the light might of been too close when they were a bit smaller it's a 600w mh so it's a little much for em n when should I give them nutes n how much
 
The bulb is about 18-20 inches away and the ballast is on 50 % that shouldn't burn the rite? I put the thermometer inbetween the plants and it was at 82 after two hrs
