hey everyone!
So this is my first ever grow, I got an assortment of seeds from my cousin about a month ago and i decided, what the heck, I'll grow some pot for fun. I have an abandon duck 'reserve' behind my house with a lot of trees that I am deciding to grow in. No one ever goes there and if my plants die or get stolen, oh well. This is for fun. I wanna get practice for when I actually do an indoor grow. But for now, here it is:

My plants are approximately 3 1/2 weeks old. I have 2 of them, in these pictures, there is about 6, but I got rid of all the ones that weren't doing great. I only want to worry about having 2 plants to take care of right now so i kept the strongest 2.

I only have the pics of the "beginning stages" of my grow but i will download the rest and upload.

--
The first thing I did was soak the seeds in water for a day, but after that didn't work, I just them in a most towel and covered them in a bowl and placed it on top of my computer tower. After a few days they started to sprout.
--
next post will be them potted and sprouting followed by their introduction to the outside.

looks good, good luck. the last pic looks like the seeds are too close to each other tho, i think you gotta give em more space.

Okay, so I couldn't wait lol. I had some trouble getting to sleep so i downloaded the rest of the pictures and here they are.

Here, in the pics, you can see my temporary grow set up in my closet. I didn't plan on keeping them there for very long, just for the first 2 weeks or so. I'm using 2 small CFL's. Not the best my any means, but enough for what I needed.
The other pictures are just of them sprouting and the last pic is of my most healthy plant at about a week an a half old.

thanks, more to come tomorrow.

Alright, I just got off of work and got the last 3 of the photo's that I forgot to upload. Comment on them, especially the last 2 ones.

--
The first pic is the best plant at about 2 1/2 weeks and the last 2 are them at about 3 weeks old.
The plants seem to have been up by something as seen really well in the close-up picture but I have no idea what. They seem to be healing though.

Will be taking pictures this week and will update you guys when my babies are 1 month old.
Thanks

I don't know what strain they are. For my first time, I didn't really care. just got a bag of mixed seed from my cousin. They have an entire refrigerator full of seed.

Okay, so I took some pics and uploaded them. My plants are about a month old and are outside in party cups. I have just a few questions for you guys.
1. What is eating the leaves and should I be worried?
2. Should I think about transplanting soon?
3. How much and how often should I water?

Thanks, here's the pics:

Im not sure what is eating them since i live pretttty far from where ur growing, but from my experience with outdoor grows, i water once around noon and then maby a tiny tiny bit more water later in the day IF its really hot or humid out. I think with transplanting you should give it a week more then consider a new home. Good luck hope all goes well, from what i can tell minus the fact you probally got bug problems they seems healthy : )

I think you should transplant. I planted my plants at the exact same time as you and used the same cups and they were in need of one as of 4 days ago.

Okay, so here's an update. My email has been messing up when ive been trying to download the pictures to this laptop.
These pictures were taken on May 4th, when the plants were 1 day shy of being a month old.
as you can see, i still have the problem with bugs eating the leaves, but i dont see any real trauma to my plants right now.
I planted them into big pots, I'm not sure the gallonage, and then I dug them into the ground to make them less visible. In the last picture, you can get an idea of where they are planted, their on the hill right below the mound of dirt. See them? No? Thats the point...haha
I just used some potting mix I found that we use in our garden.

So how are my babies doing? Any suggestions?

Okay guys...so I woke up today to the sound of a bulldoser. Where I planted my babies is a vacant lot that they dig out once a year but I planted them right after they did the yearly visit. I have no idea whats going on and I hope my plants are okay. I hope they don't get buried.
I'll keep you guys posted

Nothings happened in the lot since yesterday, they moved out all the equipment so i think their done...hopefully.
Its been raining like crazy here and i hope my plants are doing well. will post update tomorrow when I see them

So the rain really did a number on them...I was debating ripping them out and starting over but i didnt know if it is already too late to start an outdoor grow. Again, im a newbie.
I had my buddy Mr123 over [(https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/325864-first-time-cfl-grow.html) - gotta rep by bro] and he told me that they were just suffering from overwatering them from the rain. That was today, 5/11/10 and he said to just wait a few days before watering, I was thinking of watering again Thursday. Maybe in the morning or Wednesday night if they need it, but i dont think so.

So anyways, heres the pics, you can see how they look like their dying..The once healthy plants have turned a yellowy green and the leaves are turning yellow-brown and are eaten (by bugs?)

So I have a few questions....
1. For starters, do you guys not like me? >.< Lol. There is barely any posts from other users here, I've seen people asking dumb questions and getting pages of responses...

2. Do you guys know why their turning that color green? Is it just the way marijuana plants turn during outdoor growing?

3. Do you have any idea why that one plants leaves are almost vertical? Is it not getting enough sunlight? Should I move it? Because they always seem to be in direct light whenever I check them.

Thanks

Okay, Wow lol.
Im the worst grower ever...sorry I havent updated in...god, 2 weeks >.< but Ive been having a lot going on. I took pics and was gonna put them up but things came up.
anyways...onto the very sad news =\

After nearly 18 years of being abandoned, the vacant lot where my little plants were growing is being developed and the bulldozer destroyed the plants :(
I think im going to try to grow indoors next, ive been reading a lot about it.

Grow Journal: Closed =\
