First Time Grow, Low Stress Training

GREETINGS FOLKS. This is my first ever attempt @ growing. I've got four (5 Week Old) Northern Lights from seed growing in 75% General Purpose Soil, 25% Permiculite ..I didn't start any of them on fertilizers until Week 4, (until I noticed lower leaves turning yellow, showing big random brown spots & blades shrivelling up & down). The plants are under 4 x 18W CFL Tubes and they seem to like it.

The only Fertilizer I am using is a general purpose balanced Fertilizer NPK 5-5-5.. I will try to get hold of some fertilizer with a high ratio of Nitrogen for this vegetative period, but I haven't found any yet..

I dont know the sex of any of them yet. Should I be able to tell the sex after 5 weeks? ...At the center of every node there are two little green 'hairs'/'pistols'?? 'green spikey things'... and this is the same for all four of my plants.Even though I dont know their genders yet, I decided to attempt Low Stress Training, considering my limited grow space, and they are taking nicely to that too... Because I'm only using 18W CFL's this technique is good for distributing the compromised choice of light source amongst the plants in a small place.

I will get some photos up as soon as I can

STAMP ON MY DREAMS PLEASE.. Am I doing anything wrong?

You're doing fine. You spotted the nute deficiency and sorted it. Maybe grow's in your blood? lol!
What about the LSTraining in your post then?

once they are truley mature (around three months) they will show sex you'll see a complete difference between Pistils and Pollen Sacks...sounds like your doing a great job!! if you flip to 12/12 you be able to tell sooner? but since your LST'n veg 'em tell they are the size you want. good luck

I have Jorge Cervantes to thank for the Nitrogen Deficiency Symptoms.. The Indoor Horiculture Bible saved my life :)
