so i took my measurements the are is 27.5" by 58" and about 8' feet tall.....

if i multiply length=2.291' x width=4.833' x height=8'
I get about 88.579cfms
If i divide this number by 5 i get about 16.2 (#of CFMS i'll need to clear the grow area in 5 min with fresh air)

so here is my grociers list

1.) The 150 watt HPS MINI grow light 16,000 lumens....w/ warranty w/extra 150watt light.

2.)25'x50" roll of "PANDA FILM" (seal the grow room)

3.) Going with a Growbright 4" Inline fan and corbon filter combo(40 watts 170cfm's, i only need about 60cfms so it think this should be sufficient)

4.) Fox farm liquid soil formula 3-pack

PRICE TAG = $309.75

I've got my fertilizer, lighting, and ventilation... i've been researchin this for over a year and its now buy time so i'm just getting all the equations in order

Now i need to worry about soil, pot size, getting a small fan to help airflow and maybe a couple other small things... (BEROMOETER, THERMOMETER, PH TESTER)

FOR SOIL:

I have heard only good things about earth worm castings, Cocoa peat, pearlite, and foxfarmOean forest potting soil..
I've seen high times growing films, i've seen even various hydro-stores that have there own videos out... i know they have certain mixtures or formulas for creating "the perfect soul mixture" i'm just not sure what i should go with and would like some first hand advice....

any advice will be taken seriously.....

Thank You Much,
Mac

totally wattage = 150+40=190 (not including small circulation fan)
(thanks widow, for turning me to HPS systems)

still a little weary of ordering online...:weed:

that are is a lil big for only 150watts you might not evn need to vent at all with a small fan in their to stay cool why dont you grow with 400watts? your plants will grow muh bigger witch means biggerg buds, but then u'll prob have to pay a lil more to vent the room with a 400watter

ya know now you got me thinkin i was only gonna have 4 plants.... but if i did want to do 8 total a 400 watt would come in handy only deal is everytime the washer/dryer kicks on all the lights in the house dim and i dont know if this would be a problem....

so 400watt light + 40 watt inline fan = 440watts

plus other small electronics..... lookin at 6 to 700 watts thats alot man....

yea but at the end of the day the 400 will always be better to grow with its all about whats best for YOU each person has their own lil issues like the one you said and we all have to deal with them. mayb a 150 or 400 isn't the answer for you mabe you should look at 250 for you set-up it'll keep things cool and give you alot more light

planning on havin about 4+ plants probably gonna go with a 250 or the 400 just not sure

High Killer mac, Dugout here. I have been told to use paralite with vermiculite plus one other thing that I can't remember personally I have a hydro unit I bought that uses clay pellets. I would definately get some type of rock to put in the bottom maybe lava rock about 2 to 3 inches in the bottom this will raise the oxygen levels in your plants plus give you adequate drainidge. I have a thread under indoor growing that is labeled rockwool on that thread I am talking to a guy that is called Al B. Fucht very knowledgable in hydroponics. I am also new to this but the one thing that I have learned from being on here a few months is you can't listen to everyone a lot of people think they know what they are talking about but they give bad advice. Find yourself one person that knows what they are doing and get advice from them saves on problems trust me on this. Don't get me wrong I still look at the threads and if I run across something that sounds good I run it by Al. Also I would go with at least 400W bulb with a cooling tube and make sure you don't put the ballast in your grow room because it will raise your temps I think it raised mine about 10 degrees or so once I took the ballast out my temps leveled out to an exceptable temp. My closet it 2'X7'X8' and with an oscilating fan it seems to stay at an exceptable temprature. O yea as far as the cooling tube goes they are relatively inexpensive to make I have been told I am checking into this. Well I guess that is all I have to say for know may the buds be big and the cops far away. Burn one for me the Ole Hippy DUGOUT
