First time grow with bag seeds, been looking at the site for weeks finally postin. Had 5 seeds germinate with a few good sprouts, but had to go away for a weekend with my family so i had little time to water them. Since then 4 have died and i have one sprout looking healthy and under 150-200watts worth of CFL's with an aluminum baking sheet as a light hood, 24/0. Two regular fans for ventalation, 2 gallon pot with organic fertilizer, and a portable wardrobe from target for $22. Any advice for a newb, maybe on light cycle, ventilation, fertilizer, watering? Thinking aboutmaybe doing a SCROG (does size of hole in screen matter?) or LST for more yield, but really just looking for headstash...:bigjoint:

Never give nutes to new seedlings. They do not need nutes because the seeds they came from hold a small amount of nutes for them to live off of and if you feed them you will burn them and you will likely kill them.

I do not know if that is what did in your seedlings or if it was a lack of water but never feed seedlings. Some people say wait 2 to 3 weeks, others say 3 to 4 weeks and some will say 4 to 5 weeks. I prefer to play it safe and go 4 to 5 weeks in most cases. Regardless when you do begin to feed your plants use a weak solution, like a ¼ solution and then as you feed more later up the mixture until you are feeding them the nutes as the instructions say, as in a full mixture.
