Hey everyone,
So its my first post, and I come to you for some advice. It's my first grow trying to go organic, a transition from hydroponics and the Hempy, which I've had a lot of success with it. After searching through my local nurseries, and some commercial stores like Loews and Home Depot (which, I try not to use because they drive the local shops out of business), I don't have many options as far as soils. What the local nursery suggested, was either using Monrovia or Mushroom Compost. The way he described it, the MC sounded interesting, but after doing some research on the site, I've noticed a lot of people saying their plants have burned because the compost was way to nutrient rich. I'm trying not to order anything (although, its tempting because I've heard amazing things about FF products), so I was wondering what success, if any, people have had using Monrovia Organic Soil, and what mixture they've used. I'm trying to be pretty simple, by just using some bone meal, blood meal, dolomite lime, and some MG Tomato natural fertilizer which I've heard some good things about, but wasn't sure what kind of ratios people have had success with.
The only organic soil at Home Depot was the Miracle Grow Organic, but I'm trying to stay away from it after the mass amount of criticism it has gotten in the forum. Just wanted to give organics a try, with some small indicas. Any recommendations, comments, or success stories with Monrovia? Any help is appreciated, thanks everyone in advance
