hey i had my clones in water till i got my cloning powder..

i cut at angle, dipped in powder and stuck in soil and misted and put in a dome..

should i have rooted clones in 7 days? and how can i tell once theyve rooted

If you've stuck them in pots, lift it out a little and have a look?
It's going to take a couple of weeks, maybe more.
Treat your clones like you would a sleeping dog....do not disturb! ;););)

if it lives then it worked if it dies then it didn't. I'm sorry, what's the confusion?

7 days is pretty fast 14 is probably more likely to have a robust little clone with profuse roots.
Sit back and cool your jets. Light a bowl and chill for a while. Whaddya in a hurry or something?

Most of my clones are rooted sufficiently within 10 - 20 days with both ends of the spectrum being rare. It is usually right in the middle somewhere.

When cloning is soil it is hard to tell when they are rooted until they pop out the bottom of the container. Signs to look for saying that there are roots before your seem them in the bottom: a change in color of cuttings, usually start to darken slightly, new growth starting at your nodes.
time frame in soil rooting usually in 10 to 15 day range with roots out of the bottom soon after.
Good Luck
