first time cloning got 10 mothers

i have 10 mother plants that i have grown under a 1000 wat hps for about 4 months now. i just changed the light cycle from 12/12 to 18/6 (had to do this to determine sex started mothers from seed) 2 weeks ago. how long sould i wait to start the cloning prosses

You had the plants vegging for 4 months and you couldn't distinguish sex? Hmmm, should have seen pre flowers way earlier than that. I think you can clone at anytime, but if you are revegging then it will take about a month or so after the roots show before it starts back vegatively.

i only changed the light to 12/12 for 15 days after determing sex i changed it back to 18/16 and it has been that way now for about two week.

did know if that was enough time for the stress level to go down after puting them in shock from the light change?

i take cuttings and put them in 12.12
i never try to revert. When i pick a mother from seedlings i take all the females and take two cuttings from each one. And continue to let them grow long. The cuttings i take, i put in my flowering room, marked and tagged. In 8 weeks i determine which mom is going to be the keeper. Then i clone off of her and make more moms.
To skip all this just go buy 10 clones and make moms. They are already the top choice of a pro.

reverting in my experience screws up the mothers..and the clones taken off the mother for some time. just take clones off of the mothers if you have space to make a new mother.a word to the wise keep fresh mothers coming on.after taking clones off of the mothers either put them into bud or the mother itself ..one way or the other you need to find out what you have and weather you want to keep it..also keep notes on what plants clone the best.most productive taste the best ect.
males are very easy to distinguish in veg..they will drop balls on you..the females will have hairs..and if your still not sure just stick clones of each into bud..

You do NOT need to do the 12/12 to determine sex. The plants will show you when they become sexually mature (usually ~5-8 weeks from seed), even under 18/6 or 24/7, it's called PRE-FLOWERS.

This internet bullshit causes more inexperienced growers to stress their plants for no reason and then wonder why they hermie on them.

Sorry for the rant and I hope your moms handle the stress ok, but next time, just let the things grow and they will show you just who the boys and girls are, even under 18/6.

thanks a lot guys i had no clue they would show under 18/6. i have all ways herd you had to change the light to detrim sex. thats awsome news im an out doors type and the last couple of years ive had to go out after i already been out there two months earlyer puting in starts to determine sex so i had a coulpe of friends say cloning would be easier than doin all this so that what im tring.
