First post here, how am I doing? 5x5 tent 1000 watt HPS in soil.

This is my first post here but not my first grow. Handful of years out door and about 3 runs inside, so I’m new to indoor. I’m curious how everything looks from these photos. I’m in week 6, day 1 of bloom. I am running cherry pie (80% indica 20% sativa I believe).

All are in 3 gallon smart pots. 4 total. I had another 6 alien OGs in this room but I saw pollen sacks forming and they got the chop.so my main concerns is my heat and regards to too much light. I believe I see some leaf cupping but the suspect leafs are also covered in trichomes. I see some weird growth up top but may be this is the last week or so of them bulking. Besides that every is stinky, sticky, and looks great as far as trichomes. I believe I will take these in less then 2 weeks. Right at 8 weeks.

Heat is 78-83f with lights on. 62-66f when off. Humidity stays around 30%-42% Appreciate any feed back friends!

ALSO!! my current HPS lacks any blue light spectrum. Should I throw a metal halide in for the last week? Anyone see a difference with that? Also molasses, is it worth it for taste and weight?

Looks beautiful man. super frosty. i think ~two weeks too. Enjoy! MH/Molasses is not necessary. Plants look well fed I would just let them finish doin their thing.

Your plant is a little more dark green then what you want about this time. It looks good. Like others said cut back on N and keep doing what your doing.

I think you have more than two weeks

Don't chop those for at least 4 weeks. Thank me later. Looks great so far though.

Got it. Think I have done any long term damage? And What do you think about MH for the last 2 weeks since my HPS doesn’t give off hardly any. Waste of time? Or would I notice a big difference in quality

I use HPS because the lumens are close to twice as much with HPS. You’re stacking weight on the last few weeks I want max lumens.

It’s a 8-9 week strain and I’m 5 days from week 7. I should wait until week 10+?
Yep doesn’t matter what breeders say you gotta read what the plant is doing. Your plant is still completely covered in white stigma, indicating it is still actively trying to grow fresh buds for you. It hasn’t even began the maturation process Or perhaps is just starting to which means 3-4 weeks till it’s done.

Lookin good.

Good advice posted.

I would like to address the heat stress... can you get another fan in there? I assume you're in a tent and space is limited. (it's amazing how much I can miss when it gets late... the title says 5x5 tent...)

On one of the pics in the background I see a little 6"? fan. I'd have at least a few of those blowing just at the canopy.

I have a total of 3 6 inch fans going at full blast. I also have a 6 inch air intake fan sucking air from my light and ceiling. When the lights turn on I have a 8x8 inch vent that is opened and I have a super strong ac unit in the room blowing 60 degree air. Hottest I have seen on my canopy is 82.5. And that’s testing with a laser thermometer. Accurate as can be. Do you see any signs of heat stress? I feel I don’t but I do some some cupping. Not sure if it is normal

I was guessing 2-3 by the looks but I’ll definitely keep this in mind. I usually chop at around 60/70 percent amber tris

I appreciate all the awesome tips! What I learned is I will be patient and let these ride into week 9/10. Does any one see any heat stress? That was really my only other question

I think I figured out the wilting! Perhaps the lights/heat was a factor - if so, it simply should not have been (lights were not too close, didn't feel hot). Below was the problem that could have made heat a factor.

Tonight:
  1. runoff pH was 5 or less
  2. runoff ppms was 1800-2600
  3. flushed to runoff around 300ppm, pH 5.5-6
I'm so happy I got this shit under control! Tomorrow will tell!

I see now how the biggest plant was the least affected. It got worse the smaller they were.

Glad this happened, now I feel I will have much more control going forward : ) ...presuming my fix is correct ; )

I posted all this because it appears you could be in the same situation... ?

CHEERS!
