Hello all..

I plan on moving 2-4 of my OG Plat plants outside as there coming up on one month of 18/6 indoors..

would now be nice to get some 12/12 sun on them outside... need some room in my grow room so hope these will do fine outside...

i plan on having them in pots outside about 12gallon..

Any info / input pls would be nice...

does this strain do ok outside etc.. what kind of yield am i looking at in a pot this size if grown right... im usen foxfarm nuts

was aiming to get it as big as i can untill i gotta harvest...

i use 5gallon pots on my indoors but thinkin these big boys would be much better for outdoor since i aint just dropping them in the ground..

they will get root bound much faster in the 5gallon compaired to the 12g, making me only harvest faster no??

If they're sexually mature (4-8 weeks) and you don't get your lighting time down to what's available outside they'll go into flowering when you take them from 18/6 to 12/12.

Mine go outside in May and I drop the lighting an hour a week until I'm at 15hrs.

I think they will do fine, but 12 gallon pots?? How big are you planning on your plant getting? I am pretty sure around a 5 gallon pot will do fine.

Are you serious?5 gallon will only get them so big.

I had put out 6 inch clones the first week of july in about 20 gallon containers and by early october when I pulled em, the container was so full of roots.

Yeah after recalling how small a 5 gallon is i realized i was wrong. 12 gallons shouldnt be a problem then.

Here are 4 of my Platnium OG i moved outside ill be moving them to 12 gallon pots soon...

I'm looking to bringing some clones outside, but i have some friends who just did that and they soon started to flower.
i suppose they have to be adjusted slowly over a couple weeks, but i haven't read much about this anywhere.
yet people are buying clones for $12 and throwing them in the ground all the time out here in N. Cali.

a good growing season to all.

Posting New pic's later today the 4 Platnium OG i put outside on 4-16 are well into flowering and looking GREAT! , giving them some FF Big Bloom and some Snow Storm Ultra.
Hit them two times with Supperthrive, and Roots Organics Ancient Amber when i transplanted them as well that seemed to help..

There doing so well just took a L.A. Con and a Bubba Kush outside, i have two more as well i am still going to veg em taller and move em with the other L.A. and Bubba

Hi,

Im also growing Bubba Kush outside this year too. As for grow containers, once those girls are root-bound in the 5 gal. pail it's a pia to put them into a 10 or 12 gal. grow bag. Trust me, I did it last year. This year I just started with 10 gal from the get go. A gal. a foot is a good estimate on how big of a grow container you need. plants013.jpg This is WW in 10gal.

plants005.jpg This is momma WW. She's inside growing with a 3 gal. grow bag.
