They light up the same if removed from the frame.
I actually did already try connectors on the other side, I'm not sure actually if the next step is for me to contact Bridgelux.ok - thought there could be some damage to the boards where they were screwed into the frame (or maybe from any rough parts on the frame)
some of the holes in the board are by the traces (picture from brahbbyB in the Bridgelux EB Series Build thread):
doesn't look like a wiring issue otherwise nothing would light up as it looks like all are in series.
maybe try the connectors at the other end of the board (but I don't see why that would make a difference).
Faulty strips, nothing you can do will make any difference, send em' back...........EDIT, or possibly underpowered? would seem a little strange to get 4 faulty strips, unless they're reject stock

You didn't fail though so don't feel bad shit happens.
I'm sure you can.... It is probably only a few as the others in the string will also go out. To find the bad led make a jumper.
