First Indoor Grow

so this is my first indoor grow, its just some average seed i had laying around. i thought id figure out what im doing before i go crazy with buying nice seeds. so far i haven't run into any problems but i could definitely use any suggestions y'all have to offer... i'll be the first to admit my setup isnt the cleanest, but its been working so far. it is a temporary setup till may when i move out. i am also workng on boxing it all in and along with reflective material

closet setup

  • 1 75watt cfl
  • 1 24" grow light
  • planted in 1 gallon+ pot
  • miricle grow potting soil mix

please give any tips, suggestions, and constructive criticsms you may have, as this is my first grow.

they only have 3 tip for each leaf. thats the only the wronge you need more lumen from some better lights
 
u need a lot more lighting then that player.. and i dont know why u have all those seedlings in the same pot. that's a "no no"
 
i am definitely working on the lighting situation, and have since separated all seedlings i have into individual pots.... as far as lighting goes, whats a good rule to follow as far as # of lights/watts per plant?

3500 lumens per sq foot. or something around there. goto the newbie forum there's a sticky thread about lighting
 
You can jus buy a few more cfls to get some lighting around them because they look a lil stretched ...you can get a 2 pack of some 26 watt cfls from home depot for about 6 or 7 dollars
