First indoor grow. Help

Hey everyone! I just purchased 12 big bud x northern lights seeds femonized for about $200. And plan on growing them indoors. How big of a tent should I build? Spacing? 1 or 2 1000w lights? Money isn't a huge issue but trying to keep it between 1000-1500 dollars for the best room possible. Please help!

Since you say you want to use 1000w lamps you should allow 4'x4' for each one and unless you live in blizzard country you will probably want vented hoods. In any case you will need a way to draw fresh air in and exhaust the wet smelly air outside. If you live close to other people, smell might be an issue. A carbon filter may be in order as well. Thousand watt ballasts draw about 9 amps at 110 volts so you may not be able to run 2 on one circuit without tripping a breaker unless you do a custom circuit install. If you are gonna go that route, then use 220. It will save you money on wire if nothing else.

Awesome thanks. Yeah I am in blizzard country, but 1000w should be good for 12 plants? Or should I maybe try 9? Is there any good sights for specific tent builds? Like Lego style build..

If you use say 3 to 5 gallon pots you could fit 12 under one thousand. If you want to grow them bushy you could do less and end up with the same yield, but you will be paying for power longer. You can use a shop light for the first month or so but once they are about 8" tall the fluro isn't powerful enough to keep the whole plant happy. You can buy 4x4 tents that are basically plastic poles and black/silver fabric with zippered doors and vent openings, google will help track down what you want. They are a good option for a basement or garage that you don't want to or can't build in. If heat is never going to be a concern you can just get a gull wing style reflector (in any case you will want to keep the plants above 50f so they don't stall out).
