First hydro grow, PPM question.

Okay, so I went away from soil and went with a fill and drain bucket hydro setup, and wow "set it and forget it. LOL

So my question is ive been monitoring my PPM's in my reservoir and here is what I got.
1330 on Mon
1260 on Wed
1401 on Fri

Isnt it good when the readings are decreasing and not rising? Doesnt this signify my plants are taking in the nutes? So why did it shoot up on Friday??

Please help.

Whats the status of your plant? Seedling?
I mean, Because what I've read, That seems to be high for a seedling.

today is Sun. and it went up again to 1435. Why does it keep going up?

Maybe they are using more water than nutes right now. So less water withe same amount of nutes equals rising PPM.
