I think I have it narrowed down to HTG 7 band 240w potential power (i believe i read that actual is more around 180), or a custom Apollo 8 advertised as 278w actual power. (thinking 5 640-660 dark red, 5 630-620 red, and either 5, white spectrum offered between 28,000k-18000k or some blue LEDs,) panel from cidly. my grow space is 20x35x 62. I'll be growing in 2 or 3 3.5 gallon buckets using a DWC hydro system (each with a 3w air pump). i think ill be doing a scrog grow (never done one before i usually pretty much let it grow on its own.) I've got a big order from attitude coming soon. think my first grow will be.
Dinafem Seeds California Hash Plant, Ministry of Cannabis Big Bud, and G13 Labs Seeds Blue OG.
p.s. one more thing i've got a 125w cfl for veg. so im looking for an LED light for flowering.
any help is welcome thanks in advance. and I'm not looking for a top quality light just looking for something that works well for an affordable price. both the HTG and Apollo 8 should be in the same ballpark around 300 USD (after adjusting for shipping)

Thats probably more like 160 watts. It will probably cover a 2 x 2 After shipping its close to $300.

Check out Hans led. Much better. 65watts. All cree leds. Covers a 2 x 2.25 area. $300 after shipping. 2 panels for $500 after shipping.

I have good experience with the Apollo, got a customized fixture I use for flowering

120x3W = 288W

8x620
16x630
32x640
32x660
8x700

8x455
16x6500K

you can see the results for yourself here:

looking back, if I had to changes anything I would maybe have switch the 455nm LEDs in to 6500K

and should I order a new, I would maybe switch out half the 640 and 660 in to 2700K or totally rethink it, and go with a 3-1-1 ration 2700K-6500K-660nm

NOTE: I use my LEDs to flower with, I use T5HOs to Veg with, for Veg I would probably use another ratio with more 6500K or 4000/5000K in there

that panel is more expensve (per watt) than the apollo and its about 100w less

I see the Apollo selling for $350+ @260 rated watts __ 120 leds x 3w each---They never run the LEDs @ full capacity

The one on Ebay can be gotten for $215 w/Free shipping(@ your house in a week) @200 rated watts 100 leds x 3w
Your math seems wrong, Im not promoting these, I just thought I'd show you a cheaper option.Like I said I have 4 of these and they are bright and my plants vegged huge.

Good luck with your choice
