First High Grade Grow..Best Bud Ever smelt..full of rot!!!! help.

Hey there fellow rollers, long time learning on these forums, first post, unfortunately has to be a sad one.

So Ive grown before dirt weed with no care, hydro once..didnt go so good...and now this was my first "good" outdoor grow that I took care of. 3 plants ..only one is the problem. Green crack aka Cush, this plant was growing so awesome, lovely,STICKY fast, huge buds FAST..and the stinkiest smell ever , straight skunk. The kind of smell that literally turned me on. Never knew i could grow something so awesome.

Anyhow 1 week from harvest i noticed some brown dry areas , rot. read up on it, snipped those two colas and hoped for the best. Trimming those colas I found a few green sticky worms and small eggs deep inside buds. Two days later plant had more rot, decided to cut down. SAD SAD SAD.

My other plants are tahoe og and white widow, they are doing lovely. But this green crack was the best and thats all i smoke anyway really.

Now today while going through and trimming the rest of the plant, I have had to throw away alot of nugs, I have alot salvaged where I pulled out all the brown shit from the buds, BUT is this enough, I know spores and all that will make me sick so is it enough to just catch the obvious brown shit on these buds and still dry and smoke them or should I just not even bother with all this and toss everything?

Your advice is appreciated...the cause Im guessing is thats these buds were very fat and sticky as well as we had a few crazy days of rain 2 nights last week..after that the rot showed up.

It just makes me sad that i wont be able to smoke any of this, there was no black mold, maybe a patch or two, but mostly brown all inside the buds.

make sure you cut the bad spots out completely and inspect carefuly before even attempting to dry.There is salvagability in some of it from what you posted,but that really sucks to hear man,when it comes to outside grows attention is a must especialy around harvest,hope all goes well.

Those are some of the worst that I have remaining, the worst of the nugs got tossed already, even though they werent that much more rotten just thicker. what your opinion ..toss?

These above are some of the ones Im trying to salvage, what you guys think, the brown is not deep but its there, some nugs more than others, some nugs Its so light that I cant tell if they are dried pistils or the bud rot.

is the brown harmful as well, I do not wanna take no chances with my lungs, its not worth it. but will be happy if its salvagable.

I know ive replied enough posts, I will wait for some answers.

you also have mildew on some leafs i noticed.buy some caterpillar killer next time around.i use 'safer brand caterpillar killer'.its organic.you need to stay on top of those caterpillars they ruined my shit 2 years in a row.good luck.

Which picture did u see the mildew in and which part top or bottom of pic so I can know what took out for

It was in the 1st set of pics you posted.The 2nd pic up top left corner fan leaf.look at the leaf that goes to the top left corner and fallow the leaf down a little and you will notice a little white gray patch which is mildew.You might wanna check your humidity,also you might have your plants to close together.Also check on top of your fan leafs for other spots of mildew.If you see more you could buy mildew killer at your local hydroponic store or try us h202 with water.

thanks cr500 for the advice, I will try that next time I have this problem..but this plant has been already cut down..

My question I hope someone can answer, is the brown dried bud as harmful as the black white powdery mildew, Ive managed to remove most of that.

If not what if I would massacre these buds and just patiently cut off anything green still on it, or would the green still be affected?

And last if this bud is just no good no more, will it still work for hash to throw in with th trimmings orwould thatt be harmful as well?

once you cut down the plant the mildew and bud rot from the caterpillars wont spread.I think you could smoke it cause i remember a couple of my friends smoking it.But it is possible you could get sick or something so you do it at your own risk.Try making hash with it.I cut all the brown out of the good stuff.

Mostly what I would like to know is how harmful would the bud fom the second set of pictures be , thats has small areas of brown? Is it still smokable or poisonous?

The brown stuff is caterpillar crap. Seriously.

the black stuff that look like little pebbles are the shit.the brown stuff is dead marijuana that dried out really fast thats y its brown.

Yeah I get that the black shit/pebbles is crap, I knocked of most of what found. The black shit I was referring to was molded bud/leaves I pciked out what i could and tossed the worst of the nugs.

My question though is if anyone knows or has experience in regards to the nuggs with brown dried leaves from the rot, are those still smokable or conatminated as well?
