First grow...

First time grower here...

I'm still in the experimenting/learning phase. I purchased my seeds and planted them in one of those Jiffy Peat Pellet Pro Greenhouse deals.

All of my seeds sprouted, but I still managed to goof. I didn't think they'd sprout as quickly as they did (like in 2 days) and I didn't really keep an eye on them (my bad.... I know). Anyways, I planted them yesterday like a week after they sprouted. But now, the stalks are wilted. They're just laying flat.

I've transplanted them in small planters with ProMix BX (and mixed in just a touch of rock dust) and watered them. Will these wilted stalks recover or do you think they're gone? Lastly...I had a huge logistics problem getting doors for my grow tent (I know, it sounds stupid.....but it's a real problem I faced). So I've hung up a curtain in the front. Do you think this will pose a huge problem because it's not sealed?

I've read conflicting stories & seen very different style grow setups. Some swear by sealing all the doors/joints (not allowing any light leaks) but then I've seen grow ops in open areas (not sealed off). So....I'm confused.

Your plants are stretching in search of light! I know this because it happened to me earlier this year. Give them more light ASAP.

Thanks for the feedback, but I'm a bit confused. As you can see in my picture, there's only 5 little plants/stalks. The light I'm using is the :
http://www.virtualsunhydroponics.co...wer-t5-high-output-fluorescent-grow-light-kit

It's a Virtual Sun - 4 foot - 4 bulb T5 grow lamp solution.

I would think that, that's enough lighting. Is it not? I've got the lights hung like 12" from the plants. Too close? Not close enough?

I have a 4 bulb 2' T5 HO I use for seedlings and they don't get that hot. If you want make it 4" to be fail safe that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Awesome! I'll adjust the lights immediately! :)

Question : How often should I be watering these babies? I've read like every 3 - 4 days. And just so you know, I haven't added any additional nutrients to the water. All I do is boil tap water for like 2 minutes, let it cool & then water my plants. Do I need to add any additional supplements to my water???

Also....can you address the lack of front doors on my grow tent? Is hanging a curtain OK or will I run into problems with this?

Let the soil dry on top but you can feel some moisture about one finger knuckle down. You shouldn't use any nutes until the third set of regular leaves show. What kind of soil are you in?

The curtain is fine as the gaps will help with ventilation but you should still get a fan. You will need to address the smell when it flowers.

EXCELLENT......

and BOILED water (without any additional supplements) is fine right?
