first grow

My lights: 75w HPS, two 300 watt CFL and one 100w for the bottom foliage. The soil I used is "organics choice" Miracle Grow soil. It reads that there are no added nutes.

This is my first grow. I have one female grown from bag seed, she has many characteristics of being an indica variety: about 2'6" with growth every day.The first thing I noticed that made me think i had a good mamma plant was that the stalk at the ground was as big around as my thumb.I induced 12/12 a week or so ago and there are many pre-flowers(I moved the HPS light up 2" or so every day for a week), very bushy, and the leaves are wide unlike the spiderish look that sativa leaves have.I currently have no camera but pics will be posted.I induced flowering because I want to have a minimum number of them growing... no more than neccesary.Since she did turn out to be female I plan to clone her before she's done, if I can get that far

I have an unused room in my house and my spot is a corner of this room. I had a GNAT invasion so I sprayed the plant with soapy water and gassed the room( with the plant moved for 2 hours or so, it's not a very big room ) also I applied a generous layer of sand and small rocks on the dirt surface, but the little bastards are back , just not as many.I was also told of something called Gnatrol or something. I will look when I have the cash.

I had a disaster yesterday, because I was having to move my HPS upevery day because of such vigorous growth and the fact that the light was just stupid-rigged(my fault) I ended up dropping the light and ballast and ripping out a good bit of foliage.

So... I re-re-rigged the HPS light and that problem is fixed.

I have the plant pretty confused because after the injury I decided to go back into vegetative growth for a week or so then changed my mind and now am at 18/6.

The only other issue i can't figure out is I have what i have heard refered to as conoeing(like the long boat indians used)of the leaves, they are not flat but are rolling up vertically. Just some of them, but is this a humidity factor? I plan on obtaining a humidity and Ph measuring tools on my next trip to the store but, any comments are welcome.

First, how long was ur plant in flower before u switched back to veg? If it was less than 2 weeks, then u should be alright and not too far gone. It will just stunt the plants growth a lil bit. About the accident with ur light- don't worry about it- weed is exactly that- a vigorous weed- it will bounce back and keep on keepin on!
I have ran into the canoeing that u are talkin about. I would say try foliar feeding them with reg water, as well as addin a cup of water to ur grow area.... that will up ur humidity to help them flatten back out. I think they do that to prevent too much water evaporation, especially when it's really dry and warm/hot in there.

Good luck with ur endeavor! I'll be here to help if I can!:bigjoint:
