First Grow! What do you think?

Hey guys,

Im a total noob, i have a grow setup and are a couple weeks away from harvesting (i think?). I spent NO MONEY on this setup. I had everything in house. Seeds are some mid bag seed.

My purpose: learning the stages of growth before I invest.

I have learned alot! From this site and from my own trial and error. So my next grow will be a little more intelligent and will have alot more perks.

These have been growing since Nov 1st. 3 125w CFL's. Standard Miracle Grow plant food every 7 days. Standard watering every other day. Thats it. Nothing special.

Your opinions/suggestions/comments are totally welcome!

Looks good man, seeing those trichome pics makes me realize I need a better camera. I've tried the fancy growing techniques, but have settled on simplicity. Soil, standard nutes (nothing fancy), watering every other day or so. Man, the stress level is so much lower, and the pot does great without me finger fucking everything. Ha. If I had one thing to tell new growers is, grow as much as you can! that 4 month wait till the next harvest is going to drive you insane.

Im using 3 (daylight) 125w CFLs


and the camera. you can buy them online. I am borrowing one from a buddy. The camera is a veho Discovery VMS-001. Here is a link for the camera: http://www.google.com/products?hl=e...esult_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBQQrQQwAA

Its got a long cable, USB, with software. up to 200x zoom there are better ones too. It can do video or still pics and has a quick capture button on the device. Great usb microscope.
 
If you want to help it go faster I would up the lighting. Those buds are tiny and not mature.
 
yea man, those aren't even buds yet, they're still pistills, how long have they been flowering? you need at lest 8 weeks of 12/12, another thing you should be using the orange spectrum for flowering by the way, not the day light ones, I can't remember which ones they are, either the 2700k or the 6500k, you have one or the other, get the other. Also another thing is your plants are really really streched out, when using cfl's you put the lights as close as possible, like 2-3 inches away, to get the lummens, actually you can put them as close as you want just don't let them touch cause they will still burn.

Look at my journal or avatar. I have a month left on those buds. You have probably 2 months left if you dont increase your lighting. You really need some red spectrum lighting if you want anything smokable. Right now you will yield a gram or two. Check out hps or some cfls that produce red spectrum lighting.
Just think about the time you put into that plants. You are at your last stage, why waste all the effort? Hope this helps!

Quite right i only had my red spec light for 3 weeks and buds have doubbled in size
 
what type of grow light is it? If its a hps then yes. If its a halogen, then not so much.
