First Grow (w/pics) Advice Requested!!

Hello,
So, my last grow attempt was a bust, so I got rid of the plant, and I started a new one. This time I got some CFL's, and so far, it's growing big and strong.

I'll be posting pictures regularly.

I'm very appreciative of any advice.

This plant is being grown w/ bag seed, and organic fertilized soil, de-chlorinated water, w/ a 125w CFL bulb on it (for now).

So far, we're two weeks in, after germination, and planting.

Also, just an FYI, I've removed some of the soil in these pictures to see how deep the root is going to make sure it's not crowded. The stem has not been left out like this. It looks stretched, but I assure you, it's not.

Well looks decent, but Move your lights closer, within the 3-4 inch mark. It looks a little stretched. And your going to have to transplant to a bigger pot, that ones a lil small for a flowering plant

Thanks, I moved the light a lot closer, and I'm going to transplant the plant today. I've got a nice organic soil w/ fertilizer.

I'm only 2 weeks in, how much longer until I can determine the sex? about 3 or 4 weeks more?

Youll have to change yout lighting to sex them. YOU decide when to sex them by changing the light cycle form 24/0 or 18/6 to 12/12. 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark this will cause the plant to flower. I would wait to do that until you are atleast month half, 2 months into vegging. Depends on how big you want her

We're 18/6 on her right now... We might change her to 24/0. I've heard putting her on 24/0 will make the harvest more fruitful.

Oh, ok.. once I start force flowering (12/12 cycle), on average how long does it take before I can harvest?

on average...bout 6-8 weeks sometimes more depending on all kinds of factors. when flowering you just got to know to be patient, and it will def. take longer than what youd like :blsmoke:

Cool, thanks a lot. So I should do another month and a half or so, bring it to 12/12, then about 6-8 weeks later, I could possibly begin harvesting? Sweet! I'm not looking for a huge amount... just enough for me and my boyfriend.

On a harvest of one plant, bagseed, w/ the system I'm using, and the supplies I've got.. what kind of yield can I expect?

So we're now 3 weeks in. I've transplanted the plant into a bigger pot, w/ a good fertilized potting soil.

The stalk is very strong, and I've put reflective mylar around it (there's a pic of the setup below).

I don't have any way of telling whether or not it's male or female. I've got small things that look like hair sprouting from the stalk, but I'm not jumping to conclusions yet.

How's it look so far?

Anyone? I'm just wondering how it looks so far. I'm going to wait a little while longer until I have a few more levels to it, then start flowering on a 12/12 scale.

good lookin little sprout you got there....Only advice I have is to start a couple of more....If it is a male,then you won't be starting again from scratch...if its female...then ya got some good practice on germing and sexing...feel free to click on the bottom link in my sig,it is a daily tips thread,and I have some great growers there with tips to help ya all the way through...

Looking good for 2 weeks Man.. It looks like an indica to me? Dont repot till the roots show all around the end of pot. You lucky! as study show that seed planted in 4 inch root reach pots have an 80/20% female/male ratio.. You wont be able to tell sex till you go 12/12. but looking @ your pix, if you got 125 cfl. & you not restricted for space. Vegetate for 5 to 8 weeks more. Invest in a 220w cfl purple. or a 250w red cfl. Satman rocks is right get some more on.. maybe a guy you got there,,, hopefuly not :-)

So we're now 3, 3 and a half weeks in. It's gotten pretty tall, and the stalk is thick and strong.

Here are some pictures, and I obviously I don't know the sex yet, because I'm not on 12/12 yet. I'm going to wait another few weeks, then start on 12/12. The plant is starting to smell something like a skunk. I doubt it's skunk though...

So far so good?
