First Grow Tops turning purple

So after putting the flowering sativa under new led lighting i noticed the tops turning a slight purple pink color near the leaves but only on the top. I have bone meal and blood meal in the soil. I do not add anything other than water. I did give some leaves wind burn and a little light burn from having them to close. Here are pictures. I just want opinions if its normal for a plant to respond to light in this way. Its still growing well.

Are you referring to the purple of the stems? This generally happens when the plant is stressed or has a nutrient deficiency (I have heard of strains that have this occurring naturally). From the images presented there seems to be a yellowing of the leaves that resembles the start of a magnesium or potassium deficiency, so the purple of the stems are most likely due to the deficiency rather than the wind and light burn.

Hope this helps.:bigjoint:

I followed a soil recipe that had bone and blood meal plus epsom for mag... If it were a deficiency it should have started from the bottom going up the plant with the purple discoloration I had read. But again could be wrong. I also noticed almost 2 tone leaves. Its growing and budding I dont want to lose all the work I put in. Thanks for the heads up.

I agree this and it could be genetic as you said. I have had a few do this and not slow down a tad and others that I could tell somthing was wrong and growth slowed up a bit. Also agree that a mag or P deficiency may be on the rise. Good luck and happy growing :bigjoint:

But not bad for a first timer. Forgot to add that in. We all have a problem every now and again dont give up on growing! I have seen much much worse, and the only way to learn is to screw up a little... I have done it a few times lol 8-)
Happy growing:bigjoint:

Start your troubleshooting with PH readings.

PH out of control will cause a plethora of symptoms and REAL problems.

Good luck.

If this isnt overwatering then theres nothing you can do imo, soils like that.

This is overwatered for me, edema epinasty and stuff.

I added some bloom boom to see if it clears up. Thanks!! Take a look now this was from a bag I had. The bud was a very light almost lime frosty look. Here is a recent of her.

I water sparingly because of leds being cool. Once every few days. Would a higher humidity f with it like that?
