First grow -- Sweet Tooth x Ruderalis

Quick update: branches have overtaken the main top height-wise. a scrog screen is in order. But the pot that it has been planted in is sitting on a box so it hasn't reached it's maximum height capabilities in terms of grow room. So as far as I'm concerned I'm gonna let it get some height until I put in a scrog screen (in the event that I'll need one). Same goes with the nutes.

I've seen leaves being "eaten" a tiny bit so I've kept my eyes open but now I'm sure I'm dealing with spider mites. Nothing severe but I will clean up the place real good, then vacuum this plant and spray it with soapy water at sleepy time :D I might add a little h2o2 to the solution. Any other advice?

No sign of any more spider mites. Moving on... I haven't got any new pics, gonna upload tomorrow night. However I received the order for hempy bucket materials and I planted a germed Special Kush seed. The sweet tooth is just stretchin like a mofo. And I'm at the limit of height. Gonna see what I can do in the following days. I really think CFLs are a bummer for growing. Also I flushed it last night with plenty of water only to remember that my soil doesn't have perlite in it but she took it well... I only lost two of the very bottom leaves (very small) which I was thinking of cutting anyway :D Peace

Hi again. I have some bad news. She outgrew her space, but I didn't have much time to set up a bigger place and during a shoddy and on-the-run temporary establishment the lights fell on it (I was at work). Also I may have forgotten to turn on the fans. Anyway the lights burned a few leaves and the bottoms of top 2 branches (not including the main stem). It didn't look too bad at first and I let it recover for a couple of days but then I figured I should let it focus on the buds so I trimmed them off along with some of the leaves. This is what she looks like as of last night...[pic one] Anyway, lesson learned and I'm getting a tent and a 400W HPS. The two branches I cut off I put em to dry and they're about to go on another day and they smell like ripe bananas. Very very sweet; it's amazing. I'm happy :eyesmoke:

In the mean time here's the little kush. I'm planning to top and LST this one. And I'm about to germ a couple more to use as mothers then SOG the clones. Plans plans plans lol

Everything that's not direct under the light or came late to the party has to go... [pic1] I've kept a couple cute popcorn flowers which I LST'd to get a more direct view of dem photons. The big fan leaf and the little one next to it came off by itself because of over watering. I need to be more careful.

Anyway here are the buds (which are getting frosty)

EDIT: I reckon it'll yield a pound :D ha but seriously I am pretty happy with the frostiness and believe it or not it could have been worse. This baby has been through hell and back. The little Kush plant that's abrewin' will get proper treatment in a growtent under an HPS light.

How come you cut pieces off? Is that a harvest or what is it I don't understand. You should never cut anything off your plant during flower it just lowers yield. All that green you cut off has nutrients and also helps the plant grow by absorbing sun light and producing food for the plant.

Thanks for the advice. But a lot of those mini branches and leaves did not get light at all. I only cut them so as to aim the energy from the food to the top of the buds. :peace:
