first grow strain questions

First grow, 5x7 closet, 8 bucket (4 each side) dwc hydro setup with 2 800 watt veg/flower led's.

I really like to have a mix of strains, but I understand that may cause issues with a first grow managing the different needs. Before learning that, I wanted to do 4 strains.

So I figure a compromise is two strains to start with.

I've been trying to read descriptions and get an idea of two diff strains I'd like, that may grow in a similar fashion and/or won't have issues with the nutrients i'm feeding? The thing is ideally I'd want one indica one sativa.

I'm thinking I want some type of cookies, these thin mints I had a few years ago was the best bud I've ever smoked.. looks like that would be cali connection gsc (from the pictures, looks the most similar to me). BUT i really want to do Martian Mean Green.. had that years ago and told myself it would be my choice for a daytime smoke and i seemed to not get sick of it.

But.. GSC and MMG seem like they grow differently? Do they need diff nutrient attention?

So I figured a compromise there might be LA Cookies (LA Con x GSC) for one strain, and Martian Kush (MMG x OG) for the other. I imagined those may grow similar or work together ok? I'm guessing.

Do I really need to give this up with my first grow and just pick one strain?

Any recommendations of two strains, high quality, flavorful? I like cookies, lemon flavors, kush, berry flavors, hazes, tend to not like stuff like skunk or big bud even when the buds are grown well, but skunk mixed with other strains can be ok.

For your first grow, I'd be going with either 2 indicas, 2 sativas or 2 of the same hybrid mix. Indicas grow fairly short and stocky whereas sativas grow tall so you will have 2 different canopy heights.
Og's usually grow fairly stretchy but have dense nuggets as does a lot of gsc's from my experience. The LA cookies would grow like this, the martian kush I'm not aware of so not able to help there. I'm sure there's plenty of peeps on here that could give you some other options. My suggestion is to keep your first grow as simple as possible.

Honestly mate u wanna grow one strain only, make it easier for urself, Uve got forever to grow all the strains u want, especially considering Ur doing dwc, u want uniform plants with uniform needs (or as near to)
