I have a Larger Grow room setup in the works in another location its alil far for me to be really be involved wit it much without driving across town.,but i wanted to have something small but something that could "MAYBE" give me 2OZ per plant?Lets see.Could some one else with more knowledge on how many Lumens this adds up to Let me know this is Equaling to.Mind you i started this at 3pm today,With alot of help from my brother in law on this lil project.Lined with foil or now.I have 3 Sockets on each Side with a Y adapter in each Equaling 6 on each side For 12 Total on the sides,And 4 more CLFs hanging from the top so i can move them as i need and im gonna add a reflector to this and to the side bulbs.A Hinged Front flap door.I plan to run 2 plants and maybe 2 smaller babies or clones when i can or need. With the light low i have space to put small pots on top of the "hood" too.

Dimensions: N/A Yet.

Lighting:
16-26watt.1610Lumens(100 Watt Equiv.)...416Watts(Equiv.To 1600 Watts?)6500K CFL Bulbs.

Ventilation:Plan: 1-2 Fans at the top and have a passive air flow system with vents or even a small fan at the bottom.

Updates coming soon.Thx

Any Thoughts or Opinions..I already know CFLs wont put out what HPS and others can Yield wise, but this is all i ave space and funds for is a small project at my office.

Ok So we Wired the Side lights and the "hood" and im gonna finish connecting the 2 sides to the main line as well as wiring the "hood"to this. I Upgraded the "HooD ALil .I Cut Away wood that was not needed to allow more light to pass.and Then i lined it with this "Coin Finnish Duct Tape"and I added loop handles to the top to help adjust the "HOOD"s height.Im looking for ideas to make up a Reflector for the "hood" and smaller shield type reflectors for the side bulbs.Hope to have it Finished tomorrow sometime. And get a Clone or 2 to start with ASAP...HINT HINT...

Ventilation????
Whats the best way to run 2-4 5inch fans?1 or 2 up top blowing OUT.then 1 or 2 in the rear low center blowing IN??

More to come tomorrow, I hope to Finnish this up. .

You should have lined the whole entire inside with aluminum foil.. you would have got sooooo much more light efficiency..
Lol. Yes, this is not finished yet the whole in side will be lined also. I did this in a few hours so I wanted to get the main parts done. Today I will finish it up. I hope.besides the sides, any other thoughts? Thx

foil is only ok...
if you're gonna go whole hog on something, you might as well get mylar or similar material...
hell, flat high brightness while latex based paint would do better than foil...

it does sound like you're pushing it a bit on 2 oz per plant in the cabinet setup, but if it's about weight, you may want to get something a little more "commercial" in nature, something that yields huge, and short...

and keep it up, sounds like you've got a good start...

Well i tried doing this with as much stuff i had around. MYLAR i would have to order or search for.Foil cant be that bad.I seen it reflects 75% of light.Thats minor and can be changed.

you are right, if you are constrained by what you have and don't have any white paint, yes foil is cool... but if you are gonna go the the store and get lamps, y-bulb connections, and fans, you probably will be able to pick up mylar or black and white plastic (both of which reflect more than 75% of light)... but still, good going, and looking forward to see the finished product!!!!

yeah hes right about the foil, fat whites better and I've read that foil causes heat spots so becareful is that clset or cabinet isn't vented right, but that does sound like enough light I bet you get exactly what your shooting for. Definetly keep us updated those lights are so energy effecient. Might be alittle wierd on the flowring cycle but its still light.

IMG_0497.jpgIMG_0478.jpgIMG_0496.jpgIMG_0498.jpgIMG_0500.jpgProblem Solved.....So now i have the 3 fans running on the Router power supply and they run fine.THANKS AGAIN guys for the info.2 on the top Blowing OUT HOT air and 1 on the BOTTOM side blowing COOL air IN.You can see the movement on the clones i have in there and the lil plastic bags covering them now move too. and when i close the trap door the suction pulls the trap closed and u hear the vacuum.Im testing to see how the temps do in different areas.I might just add another fan or 2 for intake.I might even attempt to draw cool air from the window with duct work IF temps become a big issue

Finished lining it but i need to hit some areas more and im gonna look into mylar or another material. But now all is good, just have to test and tweak some things.

I gotta find somehow to get the temps down,Also i know i need to block the light from coming into and escaping from the fans How can i do this with out loosing air flow?

hghflyer: if it is tripping the breaker, unplug everything and see if the box is pulling too much juice... if so you may need to plug it into a different plug or outlet... if the unit needs more juice than the outlet has, you should try plugging it into an outlet that has a higher rating... you can see the rating for the outlet by checking the fuse box... usually household power is run off 15 to 40 amp circuits... if the breaker says 10 or 15 amp is it rated only for low drawing electronics like lamps or tv's... there should also be some rated in the 30 or 40 range (for washer/dryer and or refrigerators... try plugging your lights into one plug and fans to a plug on a separate circuit... good luck...

their bloom nutes are great, i would recommend that you use almost their full line (esp the aquashield and hydroplex) but having run full nutes from them, i would mention that you may wish to use an organic bloom booster on your babies, botanicare doesn't market one that i am aware of (or is at my local hydro shop)... gh has one which i recommend, but of course you may choose one you like! good looking stuff, man!!! keep it up!

And this Bloom booster would only be used on the smaller Cuttings?

You could try GO's BioThrive Bloom its like 11 bucks plus 5 bucks shipping on amazon. mines on the way in the mail now. and alot of GO's products are supposed to be vegan which is reall good for your plants.
