so i'm about to get the things i need for a grow room i was wondering if this was a good idea.

i already have 4 lights of america "grow lights". i have read on another forum they are 7800k, but i'm not exactly sure. i am going to use those for vegging. For flowering i plan on using at least 6 42 watt, 150 watt equivalent CFL's.

Now that i have told you my lights i will tell you my plan. I will have two seperate spaces so i can hopefully get a perpetual thing going. i will veg the plants for only two weeks to keep them small, then throw them into flowering. since i want a perpetual harvest i will have at most 16 plants in my flowering area.

i want to harvest them but only cut off 2/3's of the plant so i can throw it back in the veg area to reveg it, keep it there for 2 weeks then back to flowering.

now that i have said that i have a couple of questions.

the big one
1)WILL THIS WORK?
2)is there enough light in my flowering area? it's 252 watts equivalent to 900 watts.
3)will i yeild at least a 1/4 oz off each plant?

any advice is welcome

1. yes - but count on re-vegging longer because the plant is shocked for quite awhile after a partial harvest. probably two weeks before it starts to grow at all.
2. easier to say by grow space - you want 75 watts per square ft of growing area
3. tough to say. probably

dude. instead of reusing your plants keep on getting new seeds, continuously take clones off your vegging plants before they go in for flowering, or get mother plants to get clones off.

1 pros) seeds are cheap, you can vary your strains
1 negatives) you'd have to keep cutting down the males you can get or get feminized seeds which are more expensive

2 pros) clones will mean your plants have a head start, and providing you've only got females in veg having sifted through in previous grows you're sorted with a regular load of females
2 negatives) you cant really vary or strains, cloning can stress the plants a bit, they may be too tall by the time the flowering rooms free (having vegd throughout the others flowering cycle)

3 pros) your plants again have a head start but from when you choose, they will all be female
3 negatives) cant really vary your strains, mothers take up extra room

i'd suggest 1, nd thats what im gunna do. are you planning on hydro or soil?
watch mr greens vid, its very informative and good for essential research. particularly the hydro and mother/clones stuff.
