since the mother room is 2x2 i will not be able to fit my 4ft fluoro tubes (sorry i referenced these as cfls a couple times by accident) in there and will end up leaving it in the flower room with my hps. For my mother room i was thinking lots of cfls but now im hearing that i should just get some tubes, what should i get? just under 2 feet or just get like 4, 1 footer tubes?

you can get a euro cooling tube from htg, it works great, i get alomost ten degrees cooler with just a cheap duct fan. i got the hood for 100 or so with shipping and the fan for 30, i hope to upgrade to better fan. the 400 watt hps gets hot! but for a few extra dollars than 250 you can make a grow worth it i figured. im looking at tents now, dont out bud, lol, me on ebay!

i figure for now with the electrcity cost i forget the cfls and just the 400 hps for flower with a mh conversion for veg, this my first grow, got tired of running outa opiates so i just jumped right in and am learnng alot as i go. altho led on the sides might be fun, a multi panel her or there, no heat, but unless you pay a fortune for me it seems to expensive to count on them as real light, just for fun. shot gun it lol with a 400 watt for my stash.

i might think about the cooling tube, my growing room (soon to be flowering room) temp is fine (78-82 degrees) but my mother room might need it depending on if i get a metal halide or a bunch of high watt cfls. I also regret not getting the 400 watt hps from htg that was only a couple bucks more than the 250 watt, i got the 250 watt cuz i did not think i was going to end up making such a wide open grow room. Glad to hear you ended up taking the 400, i would hate to see someone end up doing what i did .

lol we all get buyers remorse i bet when growing the sacred mary jane. But damn it is a hella fun and complicated hobby, more aspects than anything else like model airplane building, when yu think bout it. i bought the ebay econo package then rewired it to a euro hood , dont worry bout the rewiring, its so simple i laughed, just a screw driver and common sense. I wonder if the cool tube insteasd of the euro hood wud have been better but i gotta go ith what i got. Diy a few things and you can build anything, hands on i guess. seen cool tubes made, diy style, its those wings for coverage area im looking at, but the euro hood i fig i can esily do 6, i hope gotta get real seeds istead of this shit, i hope.

i notived 500 watt cfls out ther, makes me wonder, stealth hydro has some cfls fr sale but i think they might be overpriced, also i treid a little led panel for some veg the plants liked it, saw them up growing to the blue but i scrapped all that. wattage sigh. . .
