First Grow - newbie Setup 6 weeks into Flower

New to all this 6 weeks into my first grow from a bagseed. Im growin in a small space with 60w 40w and a 70w CFL and im 6 weeks into flowering and not far off harvest, will probably get ripped but i don't think its to bad for a first time grow just using water soil and a bit of tlc, what ya think? :bigjoint:

for your next grow best thing to invest in would be a new light Metal Hailied for vegging and High presure sodium for bloom and get some nutes too

yeah looks good for el naturel ahah not every1 has money for a mh n hps , or room cfl grows are sick , but some nutes would help lol how much did u yeild? wut size pot?

ya your plant is pretty bad if its 6 weeks into flowering. just being honest with you so you can improve on your next grow.
- do not use foil, use mylar. foil is simply not that great at reflecting
- i use 4 CFLs for my plant (check out my journal in signature) and im doing great, its all about positioning your lights
- try some low stress training (LST) to match up with your lighting
- try topping/fimming
- you might want to close your plant up in a box. those clothes above it will get moldy
- keep lights closer to the plant, its a CFL advantage
- use nutrients

it doesnt take much work but a lot of little things play big roles. i would start with your setup

Still in the process of growing havent cropped it yet, its in a 10l pot, good tips though im new to the growing seen but not to the smoking :bigjoint:

The plant doesnt look much but it is smelly as fuck,lol them pics were from about a week ago, its started to plump up a bit more will put some recent pics on tommorow, thanks for the advise

head over to your local grocery store and buy Grandma's Molasses. its in the sugar section and it looks like a mini milk box. add a spoon to your water and stir. it helps in many ways for the plant roots and buds. theres not much you can do now except plump those buds up!! =)
as for the smell (if its a problem for you), get any bucket with a cap, drill a hole in the center of the cap, attach a fan blowing into it. inside the bucket, pour an entire bottle of febreeze in and then poke pencil sized holes around the top of the bucket just below the cap. plug in the fan and give it a few hours and ur whole place will smell like febreeze =) (use a mini pc-fan to prevent splashing lol)

will it affect the smoke adding that just before i crop? well in about a week and a half i say because its on week 7 of flower now, its only ever had tap water, lol

its just sugar, some people even flush with it. considering you havent used any form of nutrients, you might as well add it in lol. not like your going to get nute burn or anything =P
also, week 7 is just an estimate for how long you should flower for. invest in a handy microscope thing from radioshack and check if its actually ready for harvest.

lol yeh, next attempt will be better, can't complain though, free smoke even if it doesnt crop much

If you are able to harvest your first grow, meager as it may be, you've done better than most!
Cfl's can be very effective for hobby growers. HPS is better... but I prefer the convenience of cfl's.
You do need more lights...and more powerfull lights for your next attempt.
BTW Do not harvest your dope at 7 weeks cause you read it somewhere... I'd bet they are not done! The hairs (pistels) should be all brown or red and most should retract back into the calyces. You trich should have mostly cloudy heads with some turning darker (amber). If you harvest early you will still get high, but the buzz will be ALL head (very racey) and very little relaxing body stone. Get the 60mag. loop or a miniature microscope from Radio Shack. They only cost about 10 dollars.

cool, i'll wait a lil while, about 45% of the hairs have gone browny/reddy should i wait till about 80% have turned? Does it help to give it a 24hour dark period before i eventually chop it? think i saw it somwhere? thanks again for the help

its nothing proven people just think that its better because its fully regenerated from the sleep but i dono if you do it, it wont harm your bud or your plant soo why not i guess ? whats the difference

and for your first grow its not a total loss thats for sure some people end up killing them so just be happy

ya i read about turning out the lights before harvest today as well. somewhere but i dont know where but the jist is that the plant will put its last drop of energy into its flowers/buds.

i tink its a personal prefence.. but then again think when the light on the [plant is drawstuff into the top when light off certain stuff goes into the roots.. maybe even affecting the the over all flavor/harshness from chemcials... just a thought never herd nething about it affecting it thou but kinda makes sense..

plus long dark peirod make s for a lil last stretch im sure. and gl hope ur girl fattens up nicley!! ~Strey~
