First Grow, Mag Def? Cal? Nute burn?

What's going on here? Cal/mag? Nutrient burn? It's my first grow so I wanted to get some advice before I start tweaking stuff around too much.

of course the only course of action if your worried is flush with distilled water or boiled water (cool first) if you can afford to -- IE you dont want root rot

of course if your worried about nute burn then dont see how if that was the case you have to little of anything always lean towards the safe side as it is a lot less guessing involved...

It doesn't really fit a deficiency profile imo. Look how healthy other leaves, incl. edges and tips, are. Could it be local heat damage? cn

I think I agree with einsteinus about flushing first. It could be lockout from ph/salt buildup. Try that and give it some time before you make a move.

dude its calcium deficient...no wait potassium or maybe manganese but defintiely not magnesium... first make sure that your soil's pH is at the right levels to be able to uptake the micronutrients first then you can add calcium/dolomite lime to your feeding... but if not then foliar spray first about a teaspoon per quart of water... so that it doesnt mess with your soil's pH cause calcium will raise you soil's pH quite a bit...

and lastly the above written is just a guess... a conjecture because of the lack of other info...

what is your soil's pH???

what is your feeding schedule and how much of it???

are you still vegging your plant or have you already put it into flowering???

what is the turbidity of your water or ppm???

what is the lighting situation???

temps and humidity in growroom???

stuff like that will definitely give you a better diagnosis always and you cant just take random answers to "hey, what's wrong with my plant" with out very detailed info...

otherwise you risk mucking up your plant and you only end up compounding the problem and making matters worse rather than better ;)

please dont take offense to this and we welcome you to RIU... but i can guarantee that alot of us on here are quite passionate about cannabis and only want to be able to help you and others out in the most beneficial way to not only you but to your plants

So true and in addition to flushing which if you use distilled water you have nothing to trip on..but it is a balance of all the million variables associated with growing so even if you think you know it all (and most of us do of course ;-)) one of my mantras that has always worked through thick and thin is just let the plant OUTGROW the problem if it looks like it can...I mean when its sick if it starts to look like it is reaching for the light and is not like flopped over and the stem is soft just as I always say "listen to your plants" the worse thing that can happen if you flush is root rot and hopefully you have taken the same precautions as I do in inserting at least a 1/4 " bottom layer of almost pure perilite so roots can have some aeration no matter what ..from what I have herd from others here and what I have seen myself, missing micro-elements are harder to diagnose and problematic unless you have some fancy equipment..just looking at the plant one can come up with a whole host of issues all of which have very similar symptoms to one and another...as I said in the beginning cannabis tends to be a hearty plany when it has a good root system and some kind of green leaves on it --- it should be able to withstand some abuse as long as you listen it will tell you what it wants...
