First Grow In Decade

I'm pretty rusty. Last grow was when Layne Staley was still alive ha..using a 400w hps.

First hydro grow, first auto grow, first led grow..

So this grow got off to a bad start. Ive got one auto and one photo going, I am not sure of the strains because I got em mixed up and some seedling died because my ph was way off. I think the auto is a white widow, and the photo is a violator kush or a thc pro, not sure.

Details..

Advanced Nutes 3:1.
Room temp fluxes from 68 to 82.
Water temp is a bit high, 70ish, roots look really good though.

First one is the photo, 2nd is the auto.

This is about 3 weeks in, I would say they are behind schedule.

These were taken last week..

#2 is the photo, #3 is the auto.

In the last 7 days I have dialed in the ph and am around 450ppm - they have exploded. I will post new pics when I get home.

Hey buddy!

Yeah love me some Alice always, still love most of my alt, seattle stuff from the 90s.

Herc please feel free to sound off or give me advice, could use it.

Still got the Johnson, same as yours. Only using part of the tent so for now its plenty of light I hope..Node growth is sick compared to what I remember with my 400.
 
are you gonna end up with the 2 plants ? that's what I've got going now & have made a 30x40 Scrog which is attached to my stand with pvc pipe ,zip ties,& fence wire mainly junk at hand lol I'm not much farther along than you so what works for me should work for you as well so if anything I'm running catches your interest let me know & I can explain,take pics etc. I don't have a lot of dwc or Scrog experience but so far I've been able to make it work
 
Yea man I am still following your thread too.

My main challenge will be keeping the photo short in stature because I will be vegging it the entire time the auto is in there, so 3 months or so. Should be a monster when its time to flower. I should probably consider scrogging, no? And if so - do you think I should scrog soon Herc?

I was going to top and supercrop some more first.

you've got time it's early a Scrog isn't absolutely necessary it would be better if your strains matched up better you're getting good growth I would wait a bit before I made any hard decisions
 
Flushed and raised water levels about double, keeping ppm at 500, not sure why Im hesitant to increase ppm, less is more.

Heres the auto..I would assume she should flower soon, its been 30+ days. Some ugly burnt leaves there, not sure whats up. Ph is just under 6.

Here's the violator kush photo. I like this one alot so far, very green and lush, profound growth from what I recall compared to my old 400w in soil. Im thinking ill try to get a clone or two going as the veg will be very long, may as well.

Have you tried the violator kush before? You're looking good so far even after such a long break. I have been growing a couple kush strains and topping with some lsting is how I keep em short and bushy. Good luck and I'll be stopping by to see your progress.

Thanks Joe. No this is first time with violator kush, I hear its a big plant heavy plant in maturity. Ive also topped, this weekend I will lst a bit, keep short for as long as possible.
 
The violator is just tearin it up every day. Lush pretty green foliage, almost too much. Im topping left and right, lightly cropping the base branches. Around 12+ good but sites.

Nutes are very low, ppm around 580 maybe less, don't need much.

The auto flower, likely white widow from dutch passion, is on the right. Doin great - I dont get hyped with autos, maybe because there 's not much skill involved other than getting the nutes and ph perfect, she's finnicky.


Any predictions for bud harvest on the autoflower?

I ended up with 7-1/4 oz from the single plant centered under my light violater kush should top that the auto flower is probably gonna be the bonus prize I know nothing about autos though
 
hey mike just popped in to see how things are going my girls are doing good this grow I'm starting to see what my light can do my electric bill stays low & im getting better growth than I did with my 400w. hps I'm pretty happy with the light & as it's kept my operating cost down later on after I get this hitting on all 8 I might get one like yours with the citizen cobs they actually might be a tad better than the cree powered ones I'm liking the quality of the growth I'm getting they were 6 in clones 30 days ago todayIMG_0601.JPGIMG_0602.JPG

Hey brother, your girls are lookin good - same strain as last right? Headband?

How would you compare your veg growth with the cx vs the hps?

Mine are coming along, the auto threw some pistils yesterday, and the violator is just bonkers every day, will update today.

Im going to get some clones off the vk and try to get them up and running so they can flower with the momma vk. Hope to have 3 in flower when the auto is finishing.

Bro - johnson actually has the cx6 with the citizens in stock. I bet he'd let you swap out if you mailed him. Im not a led wizard I just summized thru my reading the citizen is slightly better? I saw a pretty lengthy blog by a skilled grower who argued he got better yield from citizen cluo48 than even the cxb3690..who knows tho.
