First Grow, Huge Leaf Isse, Please HELP

I have posted here before and i was told i was over watering and i slowed down to just once every 3 days but it seems to be the same with the curling in the leaf and downwards drooping in it. Please if you have any idea about what i can do to fix my plant, please give me some tips. I have put the plants into 12-12 as i don't have a lot of space so it was in veg for 4 weeks and now flowering. I have also added some tomato fertilizer(5-1-4) and i have a tiny bit of burn on my new fan leaf as seen in the photos. Please anyone give me a hand with this, thanks.

This is from my last post: " I am in desperate need for some help with my two plants. Both have some fan leaves which are somewhat curling and drooping down a bit. Not all of them are but a few are as shown in the photos.
I am using a 50w MH light and a around 2 weeks in i added a 11W fluorescent lamp for extra light. I thought it was maybe too much light causing this so i removed the fluorescent lamp tonight and i'll see how this goes.

I am using a soil which is a all purpose potting mix which included manure, fish, blood & bone. The soil on the packet says it's around 5-7 and i have a soil PH tester coming soon so if it is to do with the PH i'll know.

The temp is moving from around 20 degrees to 25 degrees with 45-55% humidity.

This is a wardrobe grow and i do keep the wardrobe open for ventilation and there is a fan in the back to move air and build the stems strength.

I have not added any fertilizer yet and i only really have access to a tomato fertilizer which is a NPK of 5-1-4 so i may use this soon because i want more vegetation.

In relation to watering i have been using filtered water from the fridge and leaving it without a cap on the bottle so any chemicals in the water can leave. I may be overwatering as i have been giving a generous watering once a day and this could be too much but i'm not too sure as this is my first ever grow and i'm a pretty big noob."

Stop giving nutes until you identify the problem. Giving her nutes may cause more issues or make the current problem worse. You said you water her every 3 days but how big is the pot? and how much water? Is it tap water? What's the PPM and PH of your water? These are all pretty important questions and I think knowing these will help people give you a better answer/solution.

Edit : Remove that aluminum foil.

The pot is around 18cm high and 15cm wide but i'm not 100% sure as i can't check now as it's a dark period.
I water until the top layer of the soil is covered by water and just let it sink into the soil and then leave it.
I am using room temp water from a filtered fridge tap.
I don't have anything to measure the PH of the water with so i am not sure about PPM and PH, Sorry.
Thanks for the reply also in relation to the foil i don't have anything else i could use but the closet is white inside but still i only really have foil to use, and i understand how it's not the best thing to use.

Not only is it not the best, it's detrimental as it creates hot spots once it gets all wrinkled, and even in perfect condition only reflects half the light, whereas simple flat white paint will reflect about 75% of the light and no hot spots!
As for watering, what do you mean until top soil is covered with water and then sinks? The water always gathers at the top and sinks, the question was, the amount of water you are pouring in. I would guess that this is an issue with watering.

Reflective sheeting should be fairly cheap on amazon. Like 10 bucks or so? In the meantime, you'd be better off putting it in the closet with No foil. You plant looks crispy. I bet it'll feel dry and crispy to the touch as well.

Rather than watering every 3 days, you should water according to how moist the soil is. You can get a pretty good idea by the weight/feel. Your plant feeds off the nutrients contained in the water. Without knowing the PPM and PH, you could be poisoning her rather than feeding her. I think you're gonna need a bigger pot as well.

Thanks

I am on my first grow as well and had a similar problem until I checked my tap water pH. And it was way off at 7.8-8.0.
You should check your water pH. Don't underestimate importance of proper pH.

a 50 w mh and a 11 w fluro will grow a plant about the size of my finger the plant is starving for light and any nutes u put in it is just a waste of money better off getting your pay and setting it on fire

Thanks i'll get my hands onto a PH water tester asap, it could be the issue. Thanks

Look i had the same concern that 50w MH would not work but i spoke to some experienced growers and friends i know who have had pretty good yields from 50w HPS and MH lights and the plant is growing still very well. I'm just unable to use a 150W MH or HPS as my grow space is just too small and would heat up too quickly and i'm unable to properly vent it for inlet cooling and exhaust. With LED it's way out of my budget so sadly i cannot use a LED light but if i got some money i'd invest in a 400W LED light for sure. Thanks man

i have never seen a plant grown under a 50 w mh or hps theres not even a 50 w hps lol and to be honest a 400 w led u will get better results from a 24 w cfl

So you're saying a 24w cfl is more beneficial than a 400W led for my space? sorry for my ignorance and total disregard i'm still learning and have really minimal experience when it comes to lighting.

leds are poo mate and a waste of money and time and there only good for bout 3 grows a set of t5 fluros would be your best bet

Lighting can be a sensitive topic on these forums haha. Everyone has their own opinion but I think you should browse the section dedicated to lighting. Both, HPS and LED, seem like great choices. I don’t think one is necessarily superior than the other. Each have their own pro’s and con’s. It’s up to the grower to chose which is more ideal for their situation.

Welcome, noob(gotta love that)
Sorry to see that you're having issues. I have to agree with rob, just not enough light to support the plant(s). This is where it gets sticky...a big challenge for confined grows is getting the most light from each watt of energy introduced into the grow space. It becomes more important to produce more light and less waste heat from each watt. Just do a simple google search on lighting efficacy, that should give you some ideas on comparing different light sources.

Thank you all for the tips and advice i'll be looking into PH because i feel this may be an issue with the leafs and for now lighting isn't as big of an issue i just want my plant fan leaves to kick back in then i'll be getting a more powerful 400W light. Thanks you

Best of luck, hope you figure it out, just a small tip..ph related issues will never ever ever make the leaf cup down..or up for that matter! Your issue is with watering...soil is too damp, too wet for too long, not enough air/dryness going through! That's why they are cupping downwards..eventually, you will learn from experience;) Good luck!
